Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Customer Service Executive to support our freight forwarding operations. The role involves handling customer enquiries, managing shipment bookings, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring smooth execution of import/export processes. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Attend to customer enquiries and handle shipment bookings.
  • Arrange space bookings and monitor shipment status to ensure smooth operations.
  • Liaise with Import/Export departments for effective job execution.
  • Prepare pre-alerts for respective stations before arrival and departure of shipments.
  • Check daily arriving and uplift details, and update customers promptly with the latest information.
  • Ensure customers' special requests and handling requirements are met.
  • Communicate effectively with all relevant parties using diplomacy and negotiation skills.
  • Maintain proper filing systems and ensure good housekeeping.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external customers.

Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in freight forwarding.
  • Able to handle permit applications + experience with sea freight import and export procedures
  • Independent, resourceful, and a strong team player with initiative.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Committed, adaptable, and able to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
