About the role

Join the dynamic team at AJ Global Logistics Pte Ltd. as a Customer Service Executive (Freight Forwarding). In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and operations support to our clients locally and globally. With a focus on the Freight/Cargo Forwarding industry, you will be responsible for managing customer inquiries and ensuring the smooth delivery of our logistics solutions.

What you'll be doing

  • Process and familiar with sea freight import clearance processes and also airfreight import and export;
  • Must be approved by Singapore Customs to declare Customs permits for transhipments, import and export shipments;
  • Handling and compiling quotes from prospective carriers and co-loaders;
  • Monitor and keep track of delivery status of both inbound/outbound shipments;
  • Ensure accuracy of data entry for job files opening for shipments into our in house software;
  • Process billings and verifying of vendor invoices pertaining to shipments;
  • Updating of shipments status after arrival and departure;
  • Monitoring and tracking of ongoing shipments and updating the shippers, clients or agents;
  • Updating and checking of vendors, carriers freight rates and co-loaders freight quotes, POL and POD charges.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum GCE 'O' Level and above;
  • With at least 3 to 5 years of freight forwarding/shipping experiences preferably in sea and airfreight;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English and with pleasant personality;
  • Proficient in Sysfreight software a must;
  • Computer skills includes Microsoft Outlook, Words and Excel;
  • Experience in tradenet (Process Customs Competency Certificate is preferred) and Portnet;
  • Comprehensive understanding of shipping incoterms a must;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently;
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve customer issues;
  • Team work requirement with positive attitude and relatively hardworking.
