Job Description of News Editor

  • Publish news stories comprehensively and in a timely manner
  • Manage web content to be posted from external contributors as well as senior team members
  • Assist new team members on CMS use
  • Generate traffic report and provide weekly/monthly updates on web analytics
  • Oversee all Revolution social media accounts, create posts and conceptualize news topics
  • Meet web and social media KPI in terms of articles and posts per week
  • Strategize editorial for high engagement with Revolution audiences
  • Build website traffic and social media following in a holistic and authentic manner
  • Keep abreast of trends and industry developments
  • Follow news and updates on adjacent industries such as fashion, sports, entertainment, etc
  • Foster strong relations with local partners and collaborators

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least 3 years of related work experience.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational and time management skills, ability to multi-task and manage projects, priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • A keen interest for watches and in-depth knowledge of the industry, ability to respond creatively to emerging trends and new watch launches.
  • Ability to use the website and email analytics to optimize attraction, retention, and revenue goals.
  • An understanding of SEO techniques, user experience and web accessibility. Experience in using social media and various monitoring tools
  • Strong grasp of how to use popular social media networks (like Facebook Twitter, Instagram and YouTube) to promote content
