About the Role

We are hiring a world-class video editor who understands pacing, emotion, colour, rhythm, and narrative structure — someone who can take raw footage and elevate it into a compelling piece of content that people feel, not just watch.

This isn't a cut-and-paste editing job.

You must understand story arcs, tension, release, hooks, micro-beats, and how to create retention without cheap gimmicks. You must know how to turn a simple idea into a cinematic, premium-grade edit.

If you live on Adobe Premiere or DaVinci Resolve, think in timelines, obsess over B-roll, and care about colour grading the way chefs care about salt — read on.


Key Responsibilities
1. Edit High-Impact Social Videos
  • Craft fast-paced, cinematic social videos (IG, TikTok, YT Shorts) that land emotionally.
  • Build strong narrative arcs: hook → context → tension → insight → payoff.
  • Use pacing, timing, and music to drive emotion and retention.
2. Long-Form Storytelling
  • Edit YouTube videos, interviews, and documentary-style content with strong structure.
  • Understand how to cut for clarity, emotional truth, and rhythm.
3. Colour Grading & Visual Consistency
  • Grade footage with a consistent signature style.
  • Correct exposure, match shots, and elevate mood through colour.
  • Use LUTs intentionally, not lazily.
4. Sound Design
  • Layer ambience, SFX, music, foley, and transitions that enhance the story.
  • Mix audio for clarity and punch.
5. Light Filming (Bonus)
  • Able to operate basic cameras for simple shoots (talking heads, B-roll).
  • Understand framing, lighting, and composition (not expecting a full cinematographer).
6. Creative Collaboration
  • Work closely with creative director/producer on storytelling concepts.
  • Bring new ideas, editing techniques, transitions, and creative experiments.
  • Iterate quickly — excellence with speed.

What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of editing experience (agency, creator, film, or freelance).
  • Strong command of Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.

  • A reel that shows:

  • Obsessed with content — you follow top editors, creators, filmmakers.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-standards environment.

  • Before/after examples (if possible).
  • A breakdown of one edit explaining your storytelling decisions.
