About the role

Campers' Corner Outdoor Outfitters is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with their outdoor gear and equipment purchases. The position is based in our Central Subzone Central Region store, where you will play a key part in delivering an outstanding shopping experience to our customers.

What you'll be doing

  1. Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers, helping them find the right products to meet their needs
  2. Demonstrate product features and benefits to customers, ensuring they have all the information to make informed purchasing decisions
  3. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
  4. Maintain a neat, organised, and well-stocked sales floor, ensuring products are displayed attractively
  5. Participate in inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and rotations
  6. Assist with store opening and closing duties as required
  7. Provide excellent customer service and resolve any customer inquiries or concerns

What we're looking for

  1. Passion for the outdoors and a genuine enthusiasm for assisting customers
  2. Previous retail sales experience, preferably in the outdoor or sporting goods industry
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and provide exceptional service
  4. Excellent product knowledge and a willingness to continuously learn about new products
  5. Ability to work well in a team and contribute to a positive work environment
  6. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required
