About the Role

The Procurement Executive plays a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and managing suppliers locally and internationally. You will be responsible for identifying reliable manufacturers, negotiating competitive terms, ensuring timely supply, and supporting operational needs across the business. This role requires strong international sourcing capabilities — from online B2B platforms (Taobao, 1688, Alibaba) to offline channels such as overseas distributors, factory visits, trade fairs, and import/export partners.

Candidate should be willing to relocate to 14 Senoko Way(Near Woodlands/Sembawang) at the start of 2026.


Key Responsibilities
1. International Sourcing & Supplier Development

  • Source products, materials, equipment, and packaging from both online and offline channels.

  • Digital: Taobao, 1688, Alibaba, Global Sources, etc.

  • Offline: Overseas distributors, manufacturers, trading houses, exhibitions (e.g., Canton Fair), and industry networks.
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers based on quality, reliability, pricing, compliance, and production capability.
  • Conduct supplier assessment, factory checks (virtual or physical), and due diligence.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with local and overseas suppliers.
  • Evaluate OEM/ODM manufacturing partners for customised products and private-label needs.
2. Procurement Operations
  • Process purchase requisitions, create purchase orders (POs), and track the full procurement cycle.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners for import shipments, freight, customs clearance, and documentation (invoice, packing list, COA, etc.).
  • Work with warehouse, operations, and production teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, price lists, and supplier databases.
3. Cost Negotiation & Value Engineering
  • Conduct price comparisons, cost analysis, and negotiate best terms for unit price, MOQ, lead time, and payment.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternative materials, packaging, or suppliers.
  • Support continuous improvement in procurement strategies to improve profitability.
4. Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure procured items meet QC, food safety, and operational standards.
  • Review certificates such as Halal, Product Specifications, COA, MSDS, and compliance-related documents.
  • Work with QA team to resolve non-conformance issues, defects, or supplier disputes.
5. Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare monthly procurement reports (spending analysis, supplier performance, savings tracking).
  • Maintain up-to-date files for audits and internal reviews.
  • Support procurement policies, SOPs, and best practices within the department.
6. Cross-Department Collaboration
  • Partner with R&D, Operations, Marketing, and Project teams for new product development or new equipment sourcing.
  • Support urgent sourcing requests for ad-hoc projects, new outlets, and operational needs.

Requirements
  • Diploma / Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
  • Strong experience in both online and offline international sourcing.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to liaise with China-based suppliers (Mandarin proficiency is an advantage).
  • Knowledge of import/export procedures, freight, and customs processes.
  • Skilled in evaluating supplier reliability and performing due diligence.
  • Detail-oriented with good organisation and follow-up skills.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office and familiarity with procurement systems.
