Job Summary

We are seeking a director level (or above) institutional sales professional to join our Global Client Group, focusing on building and nurturing relationships with sovereign wealth funds, central banks and insurance companies with a focus on Southeast Asia region.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Independently lead high-potential client opportunities, leveraging deep market insights to develop and execute targeted business development strategies for Sovereign Wealth Funds, Central banks and Insurance Companies across Barings' investment offerings.
  • Strengthen ties with existing clients and forge new connections with prospective investors, delivering engaging updates on Barings' strategies and market insights.
  • Able to manage and lead through the end-of-end sales process, from initial prospect engagement to handling requests for information (RFIs/RFPs), conducting investor due diligence, and coordinating onboarding with internal teams.
  • Execute and organize impactful fundraising roadshow and contribute to marketing strategies that elevate Barings' brand and generate new business opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of institutional sales experience with a strong track record in fundraising and investor relations, particularly within the asset management industry.
  • Well-established and active connections with institutional clients and limited partners, with demonstrated success in cultivating relationships with sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, and other key investors.
  • Deep fluency in financial products and investment strategies across asset classes, with experience in both public and private markets highly valued.
  • High-energy, exceptional communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • Proven ability to foster and influence relationships at all levels, both internally with colleagues and externally with clients, driving impactful outcomes.
  • Sound judgment and adept problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently navigate complex client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
