Country Manager, Thailand

This role will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across all Lubrizol business segments in Thailand, including Additives and Advanced Materials, and is responsible for the overall performance and growth of Lubrizol's business in Thailand.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Country Leader Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Oversee all company operations in Thailand, ensuring alignment with global/regional strategies and local market needs across all segments.
- Government Relations: Establish local government relations to ensure regulatory compliance, and leveraging market opportunities to support the overall growth objectives and strategic initiatives set by the SEA Sub-Region Growth Leader.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate across business segments and functions to ensure integrated efforts towards business success and customer satisfaction.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with Lubrizol's policies, ethical standards, and local regulatory requirements.
- Financial Oversight: Oversee the financial operation of the Thailand team, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with the operations in Thailand.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports, analyze performance metrics, and present findings and recommendations to regional and global senior management.
Business Responsibilities:
- Business Promotion Strategy: Develop and implement business promotion strategies to support its oversea affiliates to fulfill their business targets and business objectives for all business segments in Thailand.
- Customer Relationship Management: Maintain/strengthen strong relationships with key customers across all segments, understand their needs, and work together with other Asia Pacific regional teams to provide tailored solutions.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and threats and provide insights and recommendations to its oversea affiliates.
- Provide liaison support to the oversea affiliates for their local business. Support its oversea affiliates to communicate with their local customers to ensure efficient and effective communication.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and guide direct reports, ensuring their professional development and performance alignment with organizational goals.
This role will also focus on supporting the sustainable growth, innovation, and Lubrizol's continued market leadership in Thailand.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree: Preferably in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA or similar) is highly desirable.
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role in one or more of these areas: specialty chemical additives, performance materials for footwear, advanced coating technologies, or consumer solutions for beauty and home care. Knowledge of industry operations, regulations, and customer needs is a strong advantage.
- Country Management Experience: Proven track record of managing business operations within Thailand, including experience in both Additives and Advanced Materials segments is highly desirable.

Additional Requirements:
- Multilingual Capability: Proficiency in English and Thai is required.
- Travel: Willingness and ability to travel within Thailand and occasionally within the SEA region as needed.
- Local Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Thai market, including local business practices, regulatory environment, and competitive landscape
