Job Description and Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of experienced clinical psychologists in this field, the Associate Psychologist will play a vital role in supporting our projects by:
Literature Review Work:
- Conducting literature reviews on professional leadership development for psychologists and social workers, workplace resilience, and critical incident stress management
- Presenting literature findings to management team, to help develop evidence-based recommendations and translation of research into practical applications
- Researching on best practices or initiatives in the domain area of focus
People Development & Engagement Work:
- Conceptualising and managing the engagement of professionals and professional bodies
- Planning, coordinating and implementing engagement activities (including surveys, focus groups, events) related to professional leadership development, staff resilience and crisis support
- Consolidating inputs from stakeholders and preparing recommendations based on feedback
Crisis Management and Resilience Work:
- Assist in the nomination of staff for CARE trainings and deployment of CARE-trained officers for contingency exercises
Capability Building Work:
- Supporting the implementation and evaluation of training programmes, and dissemination of training materials and resources
- Coordinating, supporting and liaising with vendors on training activities
- Supporting in the organising of events and activities to increase the capabilities of social service professionals
- Brainstorming and executing creative ideas on training delivery methods
- Developing communication materials to consolidate learning for MSF and sector partners and disseminate through effective channels
- Developing sound evaluation method for trainings and effective presentation of findings
- Identifying sound behavioural nudges post-training to ensure learning reminders and to help in embedding skills
Administrative Work:
- Assisting in documentation of meeting minutes and work processes
- Ad-hoc administrative duties assigned by the reporting officer
Requirements
- Keen interest in working in social service sector
- University degree in social science (Psychology major)
- Strong interpersonal and engagement skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Motivated and driven individual who enjoys working on new initiatives
Highly organised and able to work independently to manage multiple timelines
Experience in digital communication/design (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, CANVA, Piktochart, video editing, etc.
- Interest in professional leadership and resiliency-building work
Working Schedule
Working Schedule:
- Mon – Thurs: 8:30am-6:00pm
- Fri:8:30am-5:30pm
3 days in office, 2 days from home
