About the role

As the Warehouse Manager at BYD (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective management of the company's warehousing operations. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring smooth flow of goods and materials, optimising warehouse productivity, and supporting the overall logistical needs of the business.

What you'll be doing:

  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods.
  2. Implement and monitor inventory management systems to maintain optimal stock levels and minimise losses.
  3. Manage a team of warehouse personnel, including supervising, training, and motivating them to achieve operational excellence.
  4. Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency, such as layout optimisation and process automation.
  5. Work closely with Finance team to maintain accurate inventory record.
  6. Build strong relationships with internal departments, including sales, procurement, and customer service, to align warehousing activities with company objectives.
  7. Serve as the main point of contact for third-party logistics (3PL) providers and other suppliers.
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 5 years experience in a warehouse management role, preferably in the manufacturing, transport, or logistics industry.
  2. Diploma/bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
  3. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  4. Proficient in data analysis and the use of relevant software tools to optimise warehouse operations.
  5. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP).
  6. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
