FMCG / E-commerce Trade Marketing Manager, Contract (convertible to perm)

Summary

Leading player in the Food & Beverage industry seeking a proactive, commercially-savvy, and data-driven Assistant Trade Marketing Manager to support and execute trade strategies across key retail, modern trade, and e-commerce channels. This role is ideal for candidates with 3-5 years of trade marketing experience, especially within the FMCG or F&B sectors. E-commerce expertise is highly advantageous.

You will play a vital role in bridging our brand marketing and sales functions by translating brand objectives into effective retail strategies and channel-specific executions that drive conversion, visibility, and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Channel Strategy & Execution

  • Support the development and execution of trade marketing plans aligned with brand and sales objectives across Off-Trade (retail), On-Trade (F&B outlets), and E-commerce platforms.
  • Support supermarkets and retail partners with POS materials, sampling initiatives, and in-store display setup.

  • Campaigns & Activations

  • Plan and manage in-store activations, product displays, tastings, and promotional events.

  • Work with agencies and vendors to develop and deploy promotional materials (POSM) and campaigns in retail and digital touchpoints.
  • Partner with Key Account Managers to secure in-store visibility, sampling slots, and off-shelf displays.
  • Coordinate online and offline campaigns including digital ads and marketplace promotions, ensuring consistency across all platforms.

  • E-commerce Trade Marketing

  • Manage e-commerce channels such as Shopee, Lazada, RedMart, and Qoo10 to optimize brand presence and sales.

  • Collaborate with E-commerce and digital sales teams to drive online visibility, promotions, and conversion.
  • Monitor e-commerce content compliance, ratings/reviews, and product availability to ensure brand consistency and optimal shopper experience.
  • Coordinate online campaigns, digital ads, and marketplace-specific promotions to drive traffic and conversion.

  • Performance Tracking & ROI Analysis

  • Track campaign effectiveness, shopper behavior, and sales lift post-promotions to inform future planning.

  • Support the evaluation of trade spends vs. ROI; make data-backed recommendations for optimization.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify threats and opportunities in the channel.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Trade Marketing or Channel Marketing, preferably in the FMCG / Food & Beverage sector.
  • E-commerce trade marketing experience (e.g., executing promotions, managing product listings, digital shelf strategy) a plus.
  • Project management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Good analytical ability to interpret sales data and campaign effectiveness.
  • Hands-on experience with retail activations, and budget tracking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); experience with trade marketing tools or CRM systems is a plus.

  • Passion for food, beverages, and consumer behavior.
  • Knowledge of retail operations in Singapore or regional markets.
