Job Summary:
The role of Sales Manager (Corporate & Travel Trade) is responsible for driving business growth by developing and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and trade partners. The role focuses on selling guestrooms, meeting facilities, and hotel services to maximize revenue and achieve sales targets. The Sales Manager will actively source new business opportunities, manage key accounts, and represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and sales missions. This position requires a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to ensure the hotel remains competitive and well-positioned in the corporate and travel trade segments.
Job Descriptions :
- Involvement with credit meeting, business travel and tradeshows
- Develop New accounts
- Handle Travel Agents (Inbound & Outbound Market)
- Consolidate and update competitor information and market trends
- Responsible for assisting with selling guestrooms, meeting rooms and additional services as required.
- Duties may include conducting site inspections, soliciting and generating new and repeat business
- Maintaining organization of office files and reports and preparing written correspondence
- Responsibilities also include working with operations staff to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Providing mentoring and training of junior staff
- Leverages other Sales Office resources and administrative/support staff to achieve personal and team related revenue goals
- Market analysis and implementing a sales & marketing strategy for the purpose of seeking out new business through various industries
- Analyze and research potential business opportunities from competitor Hotels and create a prospect list for targeting
- To actively convert customer enquiries into confirmed sales to develop future and repeat business contributing to the profitability of Hotel
- Handle all inquiries and ensure timely follow up on the same business day
- Supervision of daily work flow including Proposals and Contracts
- Conduct site tour & discussion with potential clients
Job Requirements :.
- Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience in the hotel, hospitality, or travel trade industry.
- Proven track record in corporate sales, travel trade, or account management.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of MICE market and networks.
- Good coordination, communication, and time management skills.
