Role Purpose

We are looking for a highly motivated and diligent experienced Senior Project / Programme Manager who will work closely with the business and as part of the Central Project team, acting as a major contributor to the delivery of the Howden UK&I change / integration programmes. The particular programme will involve working closely with Group functions and teams.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Project Delivery the opportunity is offered on a Fixed Term Contract basis, based in London with hybrid working.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure the project scope and deliverables are consistent with the needs of the business and meet the strategic priorities
• Direct and empower the project team
• Providing Programme updates & Management Reporting
• Supporting steering groups and working groups & chairing programme update meetings
• Ensure timescales and costs are managed throughout the lifecycle of the project
• Coordinate internal resources and vendors for the execution of projects
• Produce and maintain the project documentation including PIDs and project plans
• Manage business and project issues and risks, including the development of contingency plans
• Take ownership for the overall project delivery, tracking progress and use of resources, initiating corrective action where necessary
• Be responsible for any change control throughout the project
• Report to the PMO/IMO throughout
• Fully adopts the PMO Framework and adheres to process and procedures across all functions
• Ensures all project artefacts and delivery outputs are delivered to a high quality

Skills & Experience

• Experience working as a Programme Manager / Senior Project Manager
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Managing complex & integration projects
• Customer interfacing experience – project oversight, customer presentation – within the Insurance sector
• Business Operational Change
• Regulatory Change
• Project lifecycle and key project components e.g. plan, PID, BRD, RAID log.
• Excellent project planning skills, including use of projects tools e.g.
• Ability to persuade and influence others
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve including resolution of sophisticated project issues
