**Position Overview**

A central role to our product and engineering teams, the **Senior Software Project Manager** is critical in keeping the development wheels turning and some of our most critical processes clean. You will be responsible for integrated planning, communications, dependency and risk management, and synchronized software delivery execution.

Ideally you have shipped enterprise SaaS before - developing at scale and in environments where security, quality, and customer experience is prioritized. You’ve optimized processes & communication to help align globally distributed teams and keep projects organized and smooth. You’ve coached and helped teams figure out tough problems. You’ve managed the occasional contractor or vendor to ensure alignment on exactly what is needed.

You should be comfortable with uncertainty and enjoy both forging a path where one does not yet exist, while also optimizing existing systems and processes to operate more efficiently.

**Job Duties**
- Pulling out critical information and decisions from meetings, and detailing and following up on action items promptly
- Bringing new insights and actively challenging “the way it’s always been done”
- Using feature/bug-tracking software robustly
- Proactively identifying risks or problems, and putting plans in place to fix them
- Develop and track performance indicators for measuring project health
- Escalate issues if required, and concisely report development progress, status, cross-team milestones, issues, and risk burn-down across all required levels of the organization
- Help management forecast growth in our various teams based on estimated work, scheduled releases and the future roadmap
- Work with Product Management, cross-functional program teams, and software technical leaders to clarify and scope product/feature requirements
- Coordinate and synchronize internal groups to design, build, test, and release software on time, with excellent quality, and on a frequent cadence

**Minimum Qualifications**
- 3+ years of technical program/project management experience focused on complex cross-functional software delivery.
- Deep understanding of software development practices, including demonstrated ability to understand how components fit together into an overall product/digital feature deliverable
- Experience with practically minded Agile software development and software engineering best practices
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, organizational and leadership talents, communication skills, systems thinking, and customer focus
- High level of emotional intelligence
- A passion for our mission

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in an appropriate technical discipline

**Timeline**
- Within **1 month**, you will be comfortable with all of Kaiterra’s products, processes, culture and way of working. You will be able to clearly explain how our current architecture is built, and how our hardware, cloud and front-end systems interact.
- Within **6 months**, you will have upgraded several internal processes, and the engineering team’s velocity will be at a historical peak.
- Within **1 year**, you will have helped to grow the product department to manage several different parallel projects and provide assistance in building out project management in other functions as well.
- Within **3 years**, your products will be optimizing the environment and making a measurable dent in the CO2 emissions of tens of thousands of buildings around the world.
