About the Role
A well-established international school is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to join its senior leadership team. This role is central to shaping the school's people strategy, fostering an inclusive community, and ensuring a high-quality working environment for both academic and non-academic staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior management to design and implement HR strategies aligned with the school's objectives.
- Lead recruitment for academic and administrative positions.
- Drive professional development programmes that enhance teaching excellence, leadership capability, and operational effectiveness.
- Implement fair and transparent performance review processes, providing guidance to managers on feedback, goal setting, and career progression.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative workplace culture, resolving issues effectively while promoting staff well-being and engagement.
- Ensure HR policies and practices meet Singapore's employment laws and safeguarding standards.
- Oversee salary frameworks, benefits programmes, and expatriate packages, ensuring competitiveness and fairness.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
- Experience in senior HR leadership, preferably within international education, private education groups, or service-oriented organisations.
- Demonstrated success in strategic HR planning, organisational change, and talent management.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural environment.
- In-depth understanding of Singapore employment legislation and best HR practices.
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline is preferred.
Desirable:
- Experience in an international school or multi-campus educational setting.
- Familiarity with teacher licensing requirements, international recruitment networks, and school safeguarding policies.
- Professional HR certification (e.g. SHRM-SCP, CIPD, IHRP).
