Singapore Olympus Full time $150,000 - $200,000 per year

**Primary Purpose**
The Regional Head of IT, Asia Pacific will provide leadership and vision, as technology strategist, through the continued development of Olympus' IT infrastructure and related information systems for all subsidiaries/group companies in the Asian Pacific region based on the global policy and strategy instructed by CIO, GEC, and RRO, OCAP region.
With responsibility for all Olympus entities across the Asian, Pacific region, this role will plan, direct and manage all aspects of Technology Infrastructure, Applications, Support and Information Security functions to ensure cost-effective, secure and efficient operations which add the maximum value to the organization and the business.
Reporting directly to the global CIO and RRO for OCAP. The Head of IT will ensure cost effectiveness, reliability and value to customers, and will lead a regional team of around 15 people responsible for the Infrastructure, Applications, Projects and Service Delivery, Architecture and Security functions for around 300 users in the region.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Responsible for leading the OCAP's strategy in developing the framework and roadmaps that define the future state technology architecture in line with Olympus' global vision and define where, when and how the work will be done in conjunction with the global IT management team to evolve to this future state - consideringincreased performance, reliability, cost effectiveness, infrastructure flexibility or otherwise provide value for Olympus.
- Responsible for the modernization and harmonization across of all IT systems and processes
- In line with the global/regional policy and strategy provided by CIO and RRO, responsible for improvement on all IT related infrastructures and services at all subsidiaries/group companies in Asian Pacific region
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Applications, Technology and Security functions, providing leadership and support to the IT management team in delivering high quality and reliable infrastructures and software solutions in the region.
- Establishes and educates computer information system policies, standards, practices, and security measures to assure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard the continuity and available of information resources in the region
- Supports global Information Technology standards and policies provided by Olympus global IT management and deploy these across the region.
- Acts as the senior-management contact with global IT management across Olympus, particularly at the global HQ level, on strategic IT activities and business planning
- Regional P&L responsibility for the Technology functions, adhering to disciplined cost control and effective use of company resources.
- Reviews ongoing performance of department staff, and participate in their development programs to provide for the continuity of managerial and specialized skills, and ensures appropriate succession planning for the Technology functions.
- Ensuring compliance and governance, such as IT risk management, IT financial compliance management, IT governance within the region and in alignment with global policies.
- Leading, engaging, supporting and regularly reviewing the performance of the IT Management team and ensure the team delivers high-quality reliable infrastructure and software solutions across the region.
- Providing regional IT oversight over Transitional Services Agreement (TSA) performance from provider company.
- Acting as the senior-management contact with Global IT management on strategic IT activities including Global digital transformation projects.
- Planning, managing and budgeting IT projects and supporting teams to deliver them successfully.
- The regional P&L for the Technology functions, adhering to disciplined cost control and effective use of company resources.
- Creating service-level agreements (SLAs) with business areas, and operating-level agreements between IT functions and vendors to ensure SLAs are met.
- Sponsors regional-wide IT projects.
**Inherent Requirements**
Formal Qualifications
- Master / MBA preferred, Bachelor required in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, (Industrial) Engineering or equivalent degree combined with IT.
- Preferred certifications in COBIT, ITIL, Prince2, PMI, CGEIT or equivalent.
Key Skills / Core Competencies
- Language: English is must, Ideally Japanese for business level.
- Strong leadership and managerial capabilities.
- Excellent communication with good senior stakeholder management skills.
- Able to manage relationships with different multiple teams.
- Solutions driven and strong client focus; ability to understand the business requirement.
