**ROLE SUMMARY**

Resulting from growth in Pfizer’s Digital and Technology space, we are seeking a Digital Innovation Strategy Director to join the Healthcare Digital Innovation & Alliances Team. This role, which will report to the Healthcare Digital Innovation & Alliances Lead, is focused on identifying innovative digital solutions and external partnerships with Digital Companies that can help us achieve our Bold Moves by improving health outcomes and patient experiences from our medicines. Digital interventions can have an impact on health outcomes right across the patient journey from improving detection and diagnosis, addressing access and affordability challenges and supporting patients to manage their disease and adhere to therapies.

This role will lead the acceleration and execution of a portfolio of scoped business ideas through pilot execution, rapid experimentation, and business scale up. As Digital Innovation Strategy Director you will provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to our most senior leaders in Biopharmathrough development of strategic implementation plans, ensuring the needs of the business are met. In addition, you will lead a wide variety of cross-functional projects that help achieve our enterprise growth priorities, Bold Moves, and provide strategic support for M&A processes, external partnership opportunities, and present progress and recommendations to Digital and Business senior leadership.

The Digital Innovation & Alliances Team operates at the interface between the external ecosystem and the Pfizer business. This is a high-performing group that works closely with BU and Digital leadership to chart the course for investments in digital innovation. We aim to bring the _outside in _, to expand our thinking around what is possible and also bring the _inside out _through identifying Pfizer business challenges and then scouting the external ecosystem for potential solutions. Once we find potential matches, we support the business to partner with the company and then design and build experiments to test the concept to demonstrate patient impact. If the concept is proven to be successful, we help the business scale up the approach.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Leverage lean startup concepts to enable and accelerate experimentation and scale up opportunities within the organization
- Support the scale up of Digital innovation projects within a large organization
- Lead cross-functional projects, working with the cross functional management team and their businesses
- Actively understand priorities and challenges of enabling functions (e.g.Business Development, Regulatory, Compliance, Medical, Legal, Procurement, Finance, etc.) and be able to build relationships, navigate strategically and indirectly influence these organizations to move initiatives forward
- Deliver on a wide range of short term and long-term strategic activities, including strategic projects, strategy execution, and business developmentactivities
- Serve as liaison to internal digital partners, including digital execution teams and client partners
- Continuously track and evaluate consumer service-related innovations and other digital and technological advancements that we engage in that might be relevant to our business, and share with other leaders for the benefit of all divisions and across the brands
- Ability to identify (and manage relationships with) best-in-class startups and vendors, for the purpose of developing research, prototypes, pilots, and projects.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**
- At least an Undergraduate degree in Computer Science/Information Systems/Life Sciences/Medical.
- Broad knowledge of technology systems and platforms
- Experience and understanding of how to approach the introduction of new digital solutions into patients pathways or HCP workflows and the various important considerations associated with this.
- Creative, entrepreneurial thinker, with proven record of not only generating ideas, but seeing them through to the launch of innovative systems and platforms
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with leaders and experts across a diverse spectrum of fields, internally and externally
- Have working knowledge of key enabling functions within large pharma companies including Business Development, Finance, Regulatory, Compliance, Medical, Commercial, Legal, Digital, Technology and Procurement
