Works closely with partners in Singapore and the dispute partners in the Asia (ex-Japan) region to grow revenues for the firm from both existing and new clients. Creates and executes business development plans for the Singapore office, for practices, for partners (as needed) and for key clients in the region. Researches and identifies opportunities for promoting and cross selling. Conducts research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities to deepen existing client relationships, expand the client base, and increase external and internal visibility. Executes on targeted marketing methods including social media strategies, CLE seminars, events, organizational affiliations, and initiatives. Develops customized pitches/RFPs, presentations, and marketing materials. Ensures meticulous execution of all projects and work, with data and content consistently accurate and well presented. Ensures client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of the position.

Develop and Execute Marketing and Business Development Plans
1. Marketing and Business Development Plans - Develop and execute marketing and business development plans for:
a) Singapore office;
b) South East Asia practices;
c) Asia ex-Japan Dispute practice;
d) Partners (as needed); and
e) Key clients based in South East Asia.

2. Budgeting - Develop responsive budgets and timelines to support the plans and monitor these throughout the year.

3. Firmwide Approach - Collaborate closely with the global business development team to ensure the plans integrate with and support firmwide business development and marketing strategies (e.g. the global P.E. initiative). Collaborate with other relevant practice groups to promote cross-sharing ideas.

4. Industry Trends and Market Developments - Keep abreast of industry trends and market developments that could result in expanded or new client opportunities. Develop proactive responses to advance business development.

Support for South East Asia Practice
1. Pitches/Marketing Collateral - Create market-leading practice group materials, including customized content for presentations (internal and external), website, social media, pitches and RFPs.
2. Intelligence Gathering - Conduct competitive intelligence and research of prospective targets, industries, and markets with support from firmwide resources.
3. PR - Collaborate with our PR/Market Communication teams and external PR agency to develop and execute PR/thought leadership/social media campaigns and proactive media pitching.
4. Events - Develop and execute all South East Asia-based events sponsored or hosted by MoFo to enhance visibility in the market and advance business development goals.
5. Legal Directories - Lead directory and awards submissions related to South East Asia and Asia ex-Japan Dispute practices.
6. Attorney Training - Provide training to attorneys in areas such as pitching, presentation skills and networking.
7. Industry Networks - Proactively participate in key industry networks, identifying partnership opportunities.
8. Tracking and Effectiveness - Track the results of marketing and business development programs and prepare responsive reports and analyses incorporating strategies for increasing effectiveness.Collaborate with Attorneys and Colleagues within the Firm
9. Information Sharing - Identify and coordinate business opportunities by collecting and proactively sharing information amongst attorneys and with other business development managers and the broader marketing team.
10. Teamwork - Ensure strong intra-departmental communication and client service and seamless deployment of marketing programs, collaborating with others in the global marketing team.
11. Cross-Office - Develop supportive relationships with offices where practice group attorneys are located, and ensure that business development and marketing support is collaboratively provided.

Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, law or related field.
2. At least eight years of relevant experience within an international law firm or professional services environment.
3. Experience in supporting a wide range of practice areas including Corporate/M&A, PE/VC, Finance, Funds Formation and Disputes.
4. Strong knowledge of core business development and marketing principles including driving innovative tools and programs, competitive intelligence, market research, PR/social media and pitch and RFP responses.

Teamwork and Applied Skills.
5. High degree of motivation, with driving sense of responsibility, accountability, and responsiveness.
6. Excellent writing skills. Ability to focus written materials to ensure impact on general business, legal, and niche populations.
7. Excellent attention to detail skills in all areas, including writing, copy editing, researching, and managing data.
8. Strong presentation and communication skills.
