This position will also be responsible for assisting in the drafting, negotiation and review of a variety of contracts for employment matters in coordination with the KB4 Legal team.
KnowBe4 currently has offices in the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, Norway, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, Singapore, Japan, India, Brazil and South Africa.
**Responsibilities**:
- Draft and implement robust HR policies, procedures and processes in line with KnowBe4's culture and core values, including the development of the employee handbooks for the International entities
- Continuously monitor and review the effectiveness of all existing HR policies and processes, and make recommendations for improvement as appropriate
- Identify and report on HR-related risks, making recommendations for managing such risks
- Work collaboratively with the SVP People Operations International, local People Ops teams and Legal to manage complex employee relations matters including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, leaves, absences, retirement, and redundancy in a confidential, lawful, and sensitive manner
- Oversee compliance requirements with regards to employee contracts, bonuses, pensions, required filings, and related matters
- Coordinate with the SVP People Operations International and the Legal Department to ensure employment contracts are compliant with current legislation and that new hires receive employment contracts within a reasonable timescale
- Support the local People Ops teams in all aspects of benefits administration, selection and coordination with vendors
- Provide advice and coaching, supporting the local People Ops teams on disciplinary, grievance and other people related matters
- Ensure a smooth and consistent employee relations counseling in the region including exit interviews and the coordination of disciplinary actions with the local People Ops teams
- Work in coordination with the Expansion team to assist in their recruitment process
- Represent the company at mediation, arbitration, conciliation, and litigation proceedings, as required
- Advise executives, including senior management, within the company
- Oversee a team of People Operations Directors to proactively identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience and help develop and implement innovative solutions
- Work alongside and counsel other departments within the company
- Research and anticipate unique legal issues that could impact the company from a People Operations perspective.
- Research and help to develop strategies to avoid litigation and reduce potential areas of risk
- Assist with creating compliance programs (including in the areas of data privacy and international compliance with People Operations related matters)
- Partner with HQ for employment related issues
- Create and facilitate formal and informal HR training on employee relations matters such as performance counseling, harassment and discrimination in coordination with the Growth team/Internal Training Content Department. Assist with training of new hires, as needed
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or experience required
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or experience preferred
- Minimum 5 years of human resource experience
- Significant experience in both operational and strategic HR, preferably in a fast-growing environment
- Fluent in English and preferable in at least one other language of the territories under this position
- Excellent knowledge of People Operations/HR processes, tools and practices - performance management, compensation and benefits, employee engagement
- Thorough knowledge of applicable employment-related laws and regulations
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn KnowBe4's HRIS and talent management systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate
