Business lead - Sustainable Agriculture

We are looking for a business lead to develop and lead the Sustainable Agriculture division of the Centre, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality consultancy advice to clients on sustainability topics. Work closely with the Centre’s other business units, marketing team and RSK Group businesses, in particular ADAS, RSK’s agricultural advisory service, to design and deliver the portfolio of work in accordance with RSK’s strategic plan.

Represent the Centre in key events and other fora, building relationships with academia, businesses, governments, investors and NGOs, increasing our external profile and reputation.

Position the Centre to influence key policy issues and engage in emerging topics at the nexus of agriculture and conservation globally.

Lead the development of the Centre’s marketing materials, offerings, products, services and thought leadership.

Technical development and growth of the team and mentoring of team members.

**Desired experience**:
University degree, Master’s level or higher, in a sustainability-related field, ideally in Environmental Sciences or Agronomy.

15-20 years’ work experience in agricultural supply chains, corporate sustainability consulting or a related field.

Practical experience with sustainable agriculture and project development/program management in a multi-stakeholder and multi-geographies context.

In-depth knowledge of relevant science, policy and practice and likely future trends.

Excellent writing skills, with proven expertise in creating and reviewing high-quality written documents (proposals and deliverables).

Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.

Industry-relevant connections, with a dense network of potential clients, collaborators and other relevant stakeholders.

Commercial skills and good business sense to be able to identify and seize opportunities in a challenging and competitive market environment.

Excellent leader, manager and team player.

Pragmatic approach to solving problems and delivering impact.

Ability and willingness to travel internationally.

Full driving license.
