Assistant Manager, Business Leaders Group

**1.** Lead and supervise Business Leaders Group (BLG) team in working closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the mission of Business China, namely:
(i) collaborative closely with commercial organizations in Singapore;
(ii) cultivate bilingual, bicultural talents; and

(iii) add value to the business communities.

**2.** Lead BLG efforts in identifying selected business sector ultra-high net worth individuals (UHNWIs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs) with significant economic interests in both China and Singapore/ ASEAN, and develop sound engagement strategies for this group.

**3. ** Identify and connect with key business leaders with significant economic interests in both Singapore / ASEAN and China, and develop sound strategies to engage these individuals with an aim of developing BLG as an enabling platform for BC’s range of initiatives.

**4. ** Support BC’s efforts in establishing thought leadership, developing a pool of high-level China-savvy talents and strategic engagements to foster BC’s role in strengthening business, cultural and social cooperation between Singapore, China and ASEAN, with a goal of consolidating Singapore’s position as an international business and talent hub.

**5. ** Develop strategies to support Singaporean businesses and professionals engaging Chinese businessmen by facilitating engagements and fostering deeper links between the groups.

**6. ** Assist in the planning and executing of BC’s Advanced Leaders Programme (ALP) and ALP Alumni Programme, including marketing and recruitment efforts, identifying potential participants, coordinating programmes and overseeing administrative and logístical matters related to the execution of the programmes for Singapore and overseas components.

**7. ** Foster and maintain relationship with the ALP Alumni EXCO and monitor their activities with the rest of the ALP Alumni.

**8. ** Curate content for the ALP alumni portal, to facilitate easier interactions, business deal matching, event notification for 181 business leaders on the advanced leaders programmes.

**9. ** Manage and assist the curation of BLG’s Prominent Business Leaders dialogue series which features Chinese and local UHNWI including securing sponsorship, theme scoping, speakers management and event management.

**10.** Manage and assist the curation of BLG’s Distinguished Leaders dialogue series which features our Public Office Holders including theme scoping, speakers management and event management.

**11. ** Lead and drive other events within BLG’s portfolio.

**12. ** Curate and execute MoUs and strategic partnerships with companies/hotels /Academic institutions

**13. ** Support the market communications and operation teams, by leading and supervising executives/senior executives/managers to plan and roll out engagement initiatives for the targeted group.

**14. ** Provide bilingual strategic support in speech drafting/deck creation for Business China senior management’s presence in high profile conferences, interviews, forums etc.

**15. ** Translate articles and/or written content/reports from English to Chinese, and vice-versa.

**16. ** Assist in leading Business China’s efforts in developing thought leadership and regional expertise on developments in the Greater China.

**17. ** Any other duties, tasks or responsibilities designated by the Director

**Qualifications & Requirements**

**1.** Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin in verbal communication, reading and writing.

**2. **A bachelor’s degree in Chinese Studies, Business and Management, Social Sciences, International Relations or other relevant disciplines

**3. ** At least 2-5 years of working experience in client engagement functions in international banks/asset management firms, or managerial position in Government agencies with external/foreign facing functions

**4. **At least 3 years of working experience in events management, such as organizing conferences, forums and webinars.

**5.** A team player and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with good planning and organizational skills

**6.** Prior international experience preferred (especially in Greater China region)

**7.** Effective communicator and be able to engage a wide range of stakeholders at all levels

**8. **Keen interest in the culture and trends in the Chinese market

**9. **Keen interest in the web 3.0 space and knowledge of technology trends would be preferred.
