Job Description
Local Compliance in terms of MAS Regulatory Compliance for CMS licensed entities in the Group:
Monitor and ensure compliance with MAS regulations including Notices, Guidelines, and circulars relevant to the business.
Keep abreast of regulatory developments and assess their impact on company operations.
Assist in the preparation and submission of MAS regulatory reports and notifications (e.g., periodic compliance reports, surveys and questionnaires, licensed representatives, directorships changes).
Review of Corporate Governance Report, Board Evaluation Performance Questionnaire, and Confirmation of Independence Form.
Develop, implement, and maintain internal policies and procedures to ensure adherence to MAS regulations.
Perform compliance reviews and risk assessments to identify gaps and recommend remedial actions.
Liaise with MAS and auditors on regulatory matters.
Coordinate with external auditors or consultants during compliance assessments or regulatory audits.
Group Compliance:
Assist the Group Compliance team in coordinating the compliance function across all business units and subsidiaries within the group, including setting up group-wide compliance strategies, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements across jurisdictions, and fostering a strong compliance culture at all levels.
Establish and periodically update compliance policies, procedures, and controls to reflect current regulations and risk appetite.
Implement the design and execution of control testing, compliance monitoring, and surveillance programs.
Assist with due diligence and compliance integration activities.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in law, Compliance / Finance or Business-related degree.
More than 8 years of experience in compliance, legal, regulatory, and/or corporate secretarial roles.
Excellent written and spoken English (Mandarin preferred), with strong report-writing skills.
Meticulous, independent, self-motivated, able to manage workload and meet deadlines.
Team-oriented with a commitment to governance and compliance projects.
