**Role objective**

Lead Partnerships Business Development (BD) across all Global Chubb Life markets and work closely with COG (Chubb Overseas General) for all OneChubb opportunities. This role will directly report into Chubb Life Head of Product and Partnership with matrix reporting into Regional Head of Consumer Partnerships, COG APAC.

This role will actively work with Chubb Life’s country teams as well as COG to accelerate growth of the Partnership channel by leading / supporting on key BD and corporate development activities, including sourcing / prioritization of potential partners, proposition development, due diligence and negotiations.

Partnership channels and regions covered by this role : Bancassurance and Consumer Partnerships, across Chubb Life’s APAC and Latin American markets; with a strong focus on Digital Partnerships.

**Responsibilities**

Carry out Business Development and Corporate Development activities across all Chubb Life markets, frequently in collaboration with COG (Chubb Overseas General) to achieve business plan targets:

- Regularly review/refresh Partnership strategies (e.g., focus channels, verticals, propositions) in collaboration with Local Partnership teams and COG.
- Vet potential partnerships and prioritize key partners to focus on based on attractiveness (e.g., scale, growth potential and fit).
- Shortlist key local and regional partners to proactively pursue.
- Oversee and drive progress of country level Partnership pipelines.
- Coordinate with COG through regular OneChubb pipeline sharing sessions and collaboration across key deals (especially Regional).
- Meet with prospective clients, partners as needed to promote capabilities and value proposition.
- Align with internal functional groups such as product development, underwriting, digital technology, sales, marketing, legal to build and deliver proposition.
- Provide deal roadblock escalation and mitigation support (e.g., legal and resource issues).
- Work with potential partners to determine logistics and align with legal to build formal agreements.
- Lead partnership negotiations to deal closure.
- Support Deal valuation and analysis for M&A transactions, as needed.
- Support Head of Product and Partnership in running deals, liaising with Global Corporate Development.
- Conduct account optimization activities covering account performance reviews, product/pricing/penetration strategy development, action planning and execution tracking.
- Provide regular progress updates to senior management on key deals.
- Organize cross-team experience sharing and information / learning sessions.
- Organise Partnership forums for key Partners to come and share best practices, market trends, etc.
- BSc/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
- 10+ years of experience in Life or Health insurance sector
- Proven experience as a BD executive or a relevant role
- Expansive network in the key APAC Chubb Life markets and target digital partnership verticals
- BD experience in a Partnership channel is preferred
- Working knowledge of competitive, regulatory, distribution and product landscape of key APAC markets preferred
- Global / International experience (especially APAC) preferred

**Skill set**
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to effectively present and build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Self-starter, capable of setting own agenda, and working with limited direction
- Strong organizational and project skills with an ability to prioritize whilst managing various projects
- Comfortable working in a high-profile role with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Ability to drive commercial negotiations through a high aptitude for comprehending client business models and designing solutions to leverage corresponding opportunities
- Strong sales, new business development and existing relationship development experience
- Capable of keeping up with emerging technologies and trends; and commercial aspects of life insurance industry across APAC and Latin America
- History of gaining access to high-level decision makers
- Genuine aptitude for working in an energetic and entrepreneurial small team environment and demonstrates the ability to work well with colleagues across functions and geographies
