Job Requirements

Related to New Business (Program Underwriting and Partnerships)
Become the first point of contact to Country Presidents and distribution leaders for all new Program (Group, Credit Life, Partnerships, One Chubb, DMTM, etc.) development as Chubb Life’s center of excellence.
Serve as the primary underwriter in charge of developing the technical and financial aspects of programs and partnerships distribution deal business cases. Collaborate closely with the Chief Underwriter and the Head of Partnership Business. Coordinate and involve related actuarial and finance resources as needed at local business and global levels.
Support the RAF (risk assessment form) analysis for complex/jumbo cases.
Establish profitability metrics for programs with annually renewable products (short term) as well as product with long term guarantees.
Support the countries with developing/using profitability models for complex programs/deals.
Export best practices to newly developed distribution channels ensuring pricing adequacy within profitability thresholds.
Support product development process for alternative distribution channels (digital, bank, DMTM, etc.).
Liaise with the Head of Reinsurance and provide mutual support as necessary.
Provide training and guidance to local offices.

**Related to In force Business**:
Lead the Group Life and Medical Reimbursement quarterly portfolios management.
Liaise with other Chubb Divisions (A&H and Combined) to share/learn portfolios management best practices.
Participate in the Life Product Board.
Participate in the Product Development Process for annual renewable business, particularly on medical reimbursement.
Expand the reserve review and portfolio analysis to include annually renewable riders to individual Life products, as well as stand alone (for example, HC, CI, Cancer, etc.)
Provide support to the repricing and trend analysis of medical reimbursement products.
Liaise with other functions (like claims, reinsurance, actuarial, finance, operations and underwriting) as necessary.
Prepare Portfolios Management and reserve review documents for top senior management.
Lead the short duration (annually renewable products) business reserve review (PEG process) in all regions.
Develop a relationship with the Chief Actuary and maintain close contact with the actuarial team.
Maintain close communication and provide support to local operations accordingly.

Work Experience

Actuary or Underwriter with 15-20 years’ experience with pricing and managing alternative distribution deals and portfolios management for Life or A&H Insurance business.
Ability to communicate decisions and issues to senior management effectively with sound communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Enthusiasm for the diverse challenges of a young and rapidly growing global operation.
Proven ability to work as part of a team in an international environment and take onboard the requirements of key business partners.
Strong technical and analytical skills with a “hands-on” approach to leadership of the global function.
Understanding of broad business issues and able to produce practical, pragmatic solutions to business problems.
Proven capacity to work under pressure, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Highly responsible and trustworthy with respect for the expertise of others.
Dynamic and enthusiastic with capacity to work independently and take initiative.
Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
