The Sr. Director HR - APAC will be accountable for end-to-end HR leadership for the APAC commercial organization. Regions include India, South East Asia (Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia), North Asia (Japan and South Korea), Australia & New Zealand, Hong Kong Taiwan and serve as the primary strategic business partner to the VP & GM, APAC Commercial and VP Customer Care, APAC. Additionally, the role will be responsible for leading the Diagnostics HR function in SE Asia Markets, partnering with our Opco teams from Leica Biosystems, Radiometer and of course Cepheid.
The Sr Director HR will join their commercial leadership team(s) where applicable and will be responsible for driving the HR planning and execution aligned to global and regional business and HR priorities (with emphasis on talent management, leadership coaching, organizational design, DE&I, employee engagement and creating a world-class associate experience).
Reporting directly to the VP HR of Global Commercial & Customer Care the incumbent will be the HR Commercial Business Partner for Organizations in APAC; the leader will also have matrix relationship with other Centers of Excellence. As such, the leader will interface effectively with relevant business and HR (commercial) leaders to maximize both global, regional, and local opportunities and create a high-performance working culture to enable the business to achieve its ambitious performance and people objectives in APAC.
This position is part of the Commercial HR Organization and will be located in Singapore, Hybrid. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
**In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:
- Provide leadership to direct reporting HR members and participate as member of the HR Commercial Leadership Team serving as a representative of HR leadership globally, creating opportunities for coaching and collaboration across the HR organization.
- Support the global functional HRBP’s with HR support in the APAC region.
- Serve as lead HR partner for the VP & GM, Danaher DX platform and be an integral part of the business, working with and influencing business leaders to make data-based decisions to further talent progression in pursuit of overall business strategic goals in collaboration with Danaher DX platform in the region and Global Cepheid organization.
- Identify the need for HR programs and strategies to support business objectives and collaborate across the commercial HRLT to deliver in the areas of organizational development, performance management, organizational design, DE&I and employee engagement.
- Lead the development and execution of transformation initiatives, managing change across multiple departments and functions to achieve strategic goals for APAC region.
**The essential requirements of the job include**:
- Strong track record leading in a matrixed HR team.
- Experience in leading HR function for the region across APAC markets
- Strong data-driven approach to analysis and decision making with the knowledge and ability to interpret and develop key insights from available data to drive strategy.
- Strong work ethic and personal integrity; engender trust and influence all levels across matrix.
- Strong executive presence with ability to command respect and gain credibility through exercise of sound business judgment, clear decision-making, and excellent communication.
- Master's degree with 12-15 years of experience
- 5+ years people leadership experience
**It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in**:
- Having experience within the healthcare industry is preferred.
**Other requirements**:
- Up to 50% travel may be required, mainly regional travel and occasionally to US.
- Able to work flexible schedules to accommodate global work teams.
- Hybrid: 3 days per week in the office (or at Gemba)
