The Role
**Responsibilities**:
- Take ownership of the wedding and social events portfolio, working towards achieving optimum departmental revenue targets.
- Proactively follow up on potential sales leads to generate new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the team to design and plan wedding packages that not only attract potential clients but also maximize conversions and profitability for the hotel.
- Skillfully negotiate and review weddings and events packages offered to clients, ensuring a win-win outcome for all parties involved.
- Represent the hotel at wedding shows and events, showcasing our offerings and building strong relationships with potential clients.
- Generate monthly sales-related reports and sales forecasts for your assigned area of responsibility.
- Prepare contracts for confirmed weddings and social events, ensuring all details are accurately documented.
- Stay up to date with current wedding trends and competitive packages in the market, providing insights and recommendations to stay ahead.
Talent Profile
- Proven experience in sales, specifically in the wedding and social events segment, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to effectively interact with clients and close sales.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple weddings and events simultaneously.
- Creativity and an eye for detail to design appealing and competitive wedding packages.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Proficient in producing sales reports and forecasts, utilising relevant software and tools.
- Familiarity with current wedding trends and a keen interest in staying updated with industry developments.
- A customer-centric mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
