About the job:
The Red Hat Procurement team is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join us in Singapore. In this role, you will work closely with Red Hat’s leadership teams and engage with Red Hat stakeholders to develop procurement strategies, lead strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate contracts, and manage key supplier relationships for your assigned category / categroies. Your success will be measured against business metrics including savings, stakeholder satisfaction, contract management, and supplier management. As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will report directly to the manager of Asia Pacific (APAC) procurement.

What you will do:
- Create and implement regional procurement strategies for assigned categories (based on your experience) that are innovative, cost effective, and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges across Red Hat’s operating expenses for APAC;- Partner with stakeholders and budget owners on appropriate spending strategies and drive strategic sourcing initiatives;- Select supplier sources by driving competitive sourcing activities;- Manage activities related to sourcing, supplier evaluation, and business awards;- Form contracts with selected suppliers to negotiate optimal terms and conditions;- Build strategic relationships and manage supplier performance for key suppliers via stakeholder feedback and performance-based metrics;- Lead transformational activities to build procurement organizational capabilities and improve procurement efficiency.

What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain, or related field;- 5+ years of professional experience with 3+ years of strategic procurement experience (category management experience within IT and / or Corporate Services a plus);- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills;- Experience in developing and leading strategic sourcing initiatives for indirect spend categories, in particular Marketing & Business / Corporate Services- Strong analytical skills- Complex problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement creative solutions;- Solid experience with contract negotiations;- Experience in building relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders and suppliers;- Demonstrated influencing skills and the ability to gain agreement among a wide range of stakeholders- Experience leading multi-disciplined projects with mínimal amount of supervision;- Customer service oriented, team-player attitude, with excellent written and verbal English communication skills (additional language skills would be an advantage).
