The Regional Marketing Manager for Southeast Asia & Taiwan (SEATW) is responsible for regional marketing for the Biosciences Divisions. The role is accountable for crafting and operationalizing go-to-market strategies for existing and new market segments by incorporating customer needs, competitive dynamics, portfolio positioning, product requirements and profitability.
**How will you make an impact?**
We are seeking a strong contributor and leader who is able to inspire, coach and develop a team to drive strategic planning and generate demands for products through product positioning and promotions in the Academics, Research, Biopharma & Clinical markets. We seek an enthusiastic and inspiring leader capable of bridging customer needs and broader market trends to solution requirements and go-to-market strategy. Driving engagement and collaboration with teams across the organization and externally will be instrumental in capturing feedback on portfolio performance and competitive dynamics.
**What will you do?**
- Plan and implement Biosciences Division annual Marketing plans to drive commercial objectives.
- Define product positioning strategy with relevant product managers and vertical markets.
- Weekly review of revenue from marketing generated demand. Taking needed actions to achieve quarterly sales targets.
- Monthly review of marketing objectives vs plan and produce marketing critical metrics to ensure achievement of the marketing plan. Take action to address underperformance and proactively optimize programs to exceed targets.
- Overseer new product introduction for BID in SEATW
- Communicate vision, strategy, and initiative roadmaps to executives, customers, channel distributors, other businesses and internal collaborators for new Division-wide commercial prospecting tools.
- Influence the creation of content for marketing collateral including white papers, presentations, case studies, eBooks, protocols, videos, selection guides and customer success stories.
- Conducts market research and voice of customer (VOC) for data driven decision making by acquiring market information via surveys, market analysis, focus groups and customer feedback to recommend process improvements.
- Monitor competitive market trends and deliver critical insights that enable high-impact actions.
- Understand marketing mix to amplify or accelerate product offerings for the largest impact.
- Responsible for team assignments and career growth development, developing a high performing team and effectively engaged in talent retention.
**Minimum Education and Experience Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biology, or Business Administration, with minimum 5+ years of marketing experience with scientific technology and market knowledge.
- Proven results driving targeted campaign initiatives utilizing a multi-channel marketing mix such as social media, advertising and events.
- Self-motivated, self-starter with ability to lead and prioritize multiple projects.
- Ability to work in matrix environment and navigate through uncertainties.
- Ability to travel up to 25% within the SEATW region.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:
- Capacity to develop a strategic understanding of the Thermo Fisher Scientific brand, Life Science instrumentation and consumables.
- Ability to improve marketing return on investment (ROI) and directly impact revenue with marketing activities.
- Excellent strategic thinker and problem solver with proven written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to plan, implement and measure success in driving strategy to action.
- Collaborative approach to developing and sharing strategy, tactics and analytics.
