The Global Business Development Director will define with internal and external stakeholders, current customers and future clients the Tech
- strategy which brings DSV Solutions to be the preferred solutions provider. Together with local / regional management you will implement this strategy including the necessary technology, innovations and operations resulting in successful, strong Technology market segment.
You lead the innovation for the Technology vertical and are aware or initiate the breakthrough developments in Technology within DSV Solutions and their (future) customers. You support and advise (potential) clients with their supply chain strategy. You also make sure DSV Solutions is prepared to support these organizations with their success in this sector.
As Global Business Development Director Technology, you lead or support commercial projects where your expertise is required or where you contribute to the success of the project.

- Always strive to accelerate and encourage company's growth and success
- Enable collaboration with other commercial and functional teams in a matrix structure to drive a consistent customer experience across DSV

Vertical Lead
- Define the roadmap for Technology, from strategic perspective into global and local action plan
- Execute upon the roadmap: engaging, developing products, selling, and involvement with existing accounts on upsell and cross-sell opportunities. Differentiate by region/country where needed.
- Implement and run Technology community
- Share of wallet of Technology
Product development
- Analyse current and future market needs requirements and expectations
- Translate into functional requirements for contract logistics
- Based on gap-fit analysis, initiate product development
- Develop marketing and communications content to promote DSV in the industry
- Well defined, and prioritized approach towards implementing products and services that are required to ensure our competitive positioning on Technology
- Identification of high-margin / growth sectors for future service development
Business Development
- Develop Business Development Plan, adhering to the strategy of DSV Solutions
- Support development of commercial plans within the countries
- Define target companies, managing/leading these accounts from lead generation towards securing the business for DSV Solutions (proactive sales)
- Responding to RFQ/market opportunities, managing/leading from lead generation towards securing the business for DSV Solutions (re-active sales)
- Supporting the local organization, mainly local sales on business development / sales related topics / opportunities

Global Business Development

**To be suc**c**e**s**sf**u**l in **t**his **r**ole you **w**ill **r**eq**u**i**r**e t**h**e f**o**llo**w**in**g**:
- At least Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain/Logistics or similar relevant field, MBA or Masters’ Degree in related field is strongly preferred.
- Previous working experience in the logistics line for at least 10 years
- Well versed and knowledgeable in contract negotiation
- Experience from strategic consulting, and/or business development is an advantage
- In-depth knowledge of market analysis and metrics
- Hands on experience in creating reporting and managing budgets
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Superior communication skills to effectively communicate complex information, including business case development
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
