**Your Mission**

The Senior Account Manager will be a highly motivated, target driven leader, capable of developing and maintaining long term senior relationships with major energy, enterprise and government clients in the region, setting strategy and delivering upon business sales targets for the Marlink Group. Additional opportunities within these regions where other business units have less visibility and resources are also followed to augment Marlink’s overall position.

**Main Tasks**
- Responsible for development of strategic account management programs for energy, enterprise and government clients.
- Responsible for developing a yearly regional business development strategy to ensure achievement of sales targets and support growth initiatives.
- Comply with the company’s sales management process and systems, ensuring compliance with current forecasting systems and work with regional sales directors to determine improvements as needed.
- Engage with strategy and marketing groups (incl other functions) to understand regional installed base, market dynamics and trends as well as developing market engagement strategies, planning of market and tradeshow events and other associated activities to promote customer understanding of the Marlink Group’s combined solutions.
- Stay updated with the competitive landscape ensuring that the Marlink Group is always best positioned to capitalize on any potential opportunities.
- Works closely with potential clients to understand their business and identify sales opportunities for the Marlink Group.
- Initiates sales process by scheduling appointments; gathering, understanding and presenting account requirements; making initial presentations.
- Work with other members of the group to effectively communicate and service client requirements.
- Provides regular two-way communication between the client and team to provide strong team representation and set proper client expectations.
- Assist in the management of regional budget and helps the management team establish sales growth, and profit targets for the region.
- Provide reports to management, customer teams, and the customer relating to improvement of products, trends, problem resolution, and corrective action.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in internal educational opportunities.

Qualifications & Professional skills

**Main knowledge**
- 5+ years of experience in the satellite communications and managed IT industry, with proven Direct Sales experience selling into Oil & Gas, Mining and Government organizations.

Proven ability to build strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring loyalty and satisfaction by anticipating and addressing their needs in a timely manner.
Proven ability to identify and develop executive relationships with senior client executives, partners, and industry operators and to leverage relationships effectively.
- Having existing contacts and strong relationships with senior decision-makers in Oil & Gas, Mining and Government organizations, CIO, CSIO, IT Directors and Engineering Executives.
- Solid understanding of and ability to sell “the value” around an integrated, managed solution.
- Demonstrated and proven record of success in services-based selling.
- Having a wide-ranging experience, uses modern selling concepts (as-a-Service) and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
- Works independently, detail-oriented and has above average - excellent time management skills.

- Willing to travel overseas regularly, up to 30% of time.
