Singapore QUILT AI PTE. LTD. Full time

2 years exp

**Roles & Responsibilities**

**Who we are**:
Quilt.AI is an artificial intelligence-led market research consultancy. Our team of anthropologists, semioticians and data scientists are culturally informed and conduct market research at scale and speed, with proprietary AI tools to analyse data across multiple social and web streams. Operating out of Singapore, New York, London, and Delhi, our cultural data tools work across platforms worldwide to deliver projects regardless of geographical boundaries.

Some clients we work with include: Twitter, Colgate Palmolive, Visa, The Coca Cola Company, UN Women, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the World Bank and many more industry-leaders.

**Job summary**:
As a Research Associate, you will be part of our tight-knit, global and growing Research team. We work on exciting projects and use client’s research objectives as our compass of investigation as we dive into online data - qualitative and quantitative, unstructured and structured. Powerful writing and storytelling skills are a must as we weave together data from these disparate sources to tell the why behind the what, ultimately producing fascinating reports that provide clients with insight and direction based on the research.

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the research lifecycle: from creating an actionable roadmap to delivering solutions directly to clients. As such, you will get to wear many ‘hats’: you will get to be a project manager, writer, strategist, data visualizer and product user.

**You’re good at**
- **Data-driven strategic thinking**:the ability to collect, analyse and interpret qualitative and/or quantitative data, shrinking it into relevant bits and using it to build compelling stories.
- **Writing clearly and insightfully**: strong writing skills and the ability to guide the client through a story (rather than simply reporting information).
- **Communication**:presenting in a clear and engaging manner, and building strong client relationships based on trust and accountability.
- **Learning new technologies**:comfortable with exploring new tools, such as Quilt.AI’s products, indigenous online platforms and new data analysis/process improvement tools.
- **Social media**:familiarity with leading social media platforms and hunting for information on the deepest alleys of the internet, including open source intelligence (OSINT) techniques.
- **Ethnography**:researching behaviors, looking at what people are doing and hypothesizing why. You are someone who is inherently inquisitive about human behavior and culture.
- **Being a team player**:comfortable working as part of a global team and collaborating across teams.

**You’ll bring to our team**
- 2 to 6 years of professional experience at a research and insights, or marketing agency.
- Experience translating business objectives into strategic research plans.
- A natural curiosity and a strong interest in people and culture
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational and time management skills, and the flexibility to adapt quickly to change.

**Extra credits for prior experience in**
- Assisting with the development of new analysis techniques, procedures, and products alongside Product and Data Science teams.
- Conducting research to determine implications and trends revealed by data, and producing written reports and briefings on research findings that offer a comprehensive view of public opinion data.
- Previous experience in a client-facing role, including client relationship management.

Quilt.AI creates empathy at scale between organizations and the billions of people on the planet. As a research company, we uncover cultural meaning in big human data to design positive change and impact at scale. We merge machine learning with human, cultural intelligence. Our team of anthropologists, engineers and designers develop dynamic models and maps from the billions of data points generated from digital behaviour with contextual ethnographic immersions.
