We are looking for an experienced and motivated Research Officer with experience in tissue
- work both independently and within a team
- follow established protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- create new protocols and SOPs
- adapt to new projects in a short period of time.
The Research Officer will work in a team to develop new technologies and should be able to
follow established SOPs to deliver high standard quality results. Being able to synergize with our
multidisciplinary team is critical and requires good communication skills as well.
The person in this role plays a leading practical role in building the supply chain, is responsible for
organizing and guaranteeing the procurement of laboratory consumables, and will be in charge
of maintaining an appropriate inventory and stock for laboratory consumables and equipment.
The person in this role is an important figure in the organization to accelerate the
commercialization and launch of our services and products, and support the development of new
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Conduct 2D and 3D cell culture to support our R&D and testing services activities
- Take care of the technical aspects of the research projects from the early planning stages
to project completion.
- Communicate with team members and verify that all projects and tasks are on schedule.
- Help to gather data and report project progress to supervisors in a comprehensive,
concise and timely manner..
- Follow existing protocols and write/update SOP
- Understand the different requirements on projects while they are in their planning stages.

- Work with team members to identify project goals, research methods, variables, and other
test parameters.
- Analyse and communicate the results of the experiments to supervisors in a concise and
comprehensive manner
- Build and maintain an efficient supply chain and inventory (first and second suppliers)
- Establish and maintain good partnerships with vendors and value chain stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with the microfluidic and organs-on-a-chip technologies, and provide
regular updates of the organ-on-chip competitive landscape to the management team
- Actively contribute to the R&D and testing services operations
- Assist the Sales & Marketing Team with technical support for customers engagement
- Integrate with REVIVO BioSystems’ team and contribute to other tasks as appropriate
**REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelors, Masters, PhD or other diploma in biomedical sciences. Bio-engineering and
tissue engineering experience is preferred.
- Hands on experience with:
- 2D and 3D mammalian cell cultures (Skin, gut, respiratory)
- Hydrogel formulation
- tissue engineering
- Design of Experiments
- Image/data analysis
- Experience with testing on skin explants is an advantage
- Familiarity with Good Laboratory Procedures is a plus
- Technical writing of documentation regarding experimental setups, protocols and assays
- Detail and result oriented and flexible to the needs of dynamic laboratory environments
- Analytical thinker who can manage priorities, problem-solve and manage multiple tasks
- Strong presentation skills
- Work independently as well as with the team.
