Configuration Management Lead

We are ready to make the next step in maturing our engineering process and for that we are looking for a Configuration management lead with a background in mechanical or mechatronics engineering, who can be the driving force to improve our entire configuration management process.

You'll ultimately be responsible for configuration management and sustenance of our products, form engineering phase to end of service life. You will be working collaboratively with the engineering, quality, procurement, and manufacturing disciplines to set this up.

**What You’re Responsible For**
- ** Configuration management**

Design the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system for LAI Games and see it through to its implementation.
- ** Configuration management during project phase**

Engage with projects to ensure configuration management can deliver the required configuration management functionality within project timeframes: manage baselines and changes and ensure timely communication to procurement and manufacturing during the engineering phase of the project.
- ** Product change processes**

Lead the change management process in the change control board (with representatives from engineering, procurement, quality, and manufacturing) Facilitate and oversee the change control process to assess and implement changes to the product configuration, ensuring alignment with project goals and customer requirements.
- ** Engineering Sustaining support**

Represent the engineering discipline in the continuous improvement of products that have been launched into the market. This entails quality, reliability, and cost improvements.

**What We’re Looking For**
- Proven experience in engineering management, preferably in a business-to-business industry.
- Proven experience in setting up and managing product documentation, configurations and their engineering changes, and in communicating these to external relations.
- Passionate about proper process for documentation, meticulous in getting it right. Able to convince your co-workers to follow suit.
- Able to champion the transformation of our working methods for our documentation throughout the organisation.
- Excellent communication skills, understand concepts like diversity, equity, and inclusion when working with individual team members in the workplace.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

**Qualifications/Education**

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
