About the job

We're looking for a Festival Marketing and Relationships Manager responsible for the day-to-day management and implementation of marketing initiatives for Spikes Asia, the region’s most prestigious awards and festival for the creative and marketing communications industries.

The aim of this role is to increase Spikes Asia’s profile as APAC’s leading creative communications awards and festival, while increasing festival entry submissions, delegate attendance and awareness.

Based in Singapore, the Festival Marketing and Relationships Manager will work closely with the Festival Director to develop and execute marketing plans and campaigns for Spikes Asia that align with our commercial and business growth objectives, conveying Spikes Asia’s brand values and tone throughout the messaging. This individual will also have the responsibility to manage the relationships with sponsors, country representatives, academy deans, juries and speakers.

Key responsibilities:
Marketing
- Set and manage the annual marketing plan and schedules from brand positioning to messaging
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including social media, eDMs, digital advertising, cross promotion with external organisations, sponsors and partners
- Campaign planning & executing:

- Devise and manage marketing campaigns, allocating and optimising the budget and establishing target audiences - in collaboration with the Regional Awards Marketing Lead in the UK
- Analyze data to measure the success of the events, reporting frequently on performance to the team. Provide insights and recommendations on how to optimize and improve the events year on year.
- Seeking out any alternative/new digital marketing solutions that may provide new opportunities and more engagements with the creative community in Asia Pacific
- Research and maintain awareness of main competitors’ events and marketing strategies
- Work closely with the UK team to manage and maintain the Awards and Festival website to ensure its content are up to date

Spikes Asia Academy
- Work closing with the Academy dean(s) to plan and execute the program
- Devise and execute a marketing plan to promote the Academy and growth of delegate numbers
- Lead the operations and logistics of the Academy with the operations team
- Assist in the processing of delegate enquiries and registrations

Young Spikes Competition
- Work closely with the Talent & Training team in the UK to organize and coordinate local participation with Spikes Asia local representatives across Asia-Pacific
- Manage the competition jury, source for NGOs to participate as the competition client and manage the registration and entry process for competing teams
- Assist in the processing of delegate enquiries and registrations

Regional Representatives and Sponsors Management
- Oversee key partner relationships with over 20 local representatives across Asia-Pacific, ensuring agreements are set in place and all deliverables are met
- Work closely with the Festival Director and other team members to manage the sponsors deliverables pre, onsite and post events as required

Experience required for the role:

- A proven track record in delivering outstanding marketing campaigns (preferably in the B2B/trade media industry)
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English
- Experience in digital marketing and able to manage marketing campaigns with a digital media agency
- Proven examples of improving leading marketing innovation efforts in the previous role
- Strong track record in marketing analytics is preferred
- Familiarity with digital marketing and technologies (i.e. Mailchimp, Canva, WordPress, Google Analytics, Salesforce, etc.)
- Able to work flexible hours, frequent communication with the team in the UK is expected
- Meticulous and with good time management skills is a must
- Strong logístical and organizational skills
- Good knowledge of awards/events/festivals with experience running virtual and physical large scale events
- Demonstrate presence, leadership and people management skills through sharing marketing knowledge and direction
- Knowledge of Mandarin and/or other Asian native languages would be a plus but not necessary
