We're looking for a dynamic Events Manager with strong initiative to join our Spikes Asia team in Singapore

Spikes Asia is the result of collaboration between Ascential, the organisers of Cannes Lions and Haymarket, publishers of Campaign Asia Pacific.

The Spikes Asia Festival provides the region’s growing creative and communications industry with a platform to learn, network and exchange ideas. Uniting world class leaders, brand pioneers and marketing experts through a challenging program of seminars and workshops and showcase of the region’s best work, the festival is also an excellent learning ground for the industry’s young and future talent. The festival culminates by celebrating and honouring agencies, clients, media owners and businesses during the famous Spikes Awards ceremony.

The Spikes awards are Asia Pacific's top award for excellence in creative communications, celebrating the very best in creativity across the region. They are the benchmark by which the region’s creativity is measured and they are continually honed and redefined to ensure they reflect current trends in creative communications. We are also constantly re-inventing and refreshing the Festival and related programs and activities to stay relevant and in touch with the ever-changing creative communications industry and landscape.

This individual works closely with the Events Director and cross functional teams in Singapore, Hong Kong and London as well as local vendors and suppliers to deliver the highest quality events and exceptional delegate experience, as well as driving positive NPS score which in turn drives business growth.

Reporting to the Events Director, the responsibilities include:

- Working closely with Events teams, production, creative and venue partners to design the overall event and manage its execution and delivery
- Budget, WIP, tracking and financial reporting
- Communication management between London and Hong Kong teams
- Working with event sales teams to ensure seamless execution of sponsor programs
- Venue and vendor search and selection, brief and contract negotiation
- Logistics planning for Festival, not limited to venue hire, production, travel, etc.
- Oversight of onsite operations at Festival
- Maintaining delivery of the Festival within budget and timeline while keeping the festival fresh and exciting annually

**Job Support Processes**

**Other duties as required**
- Liaison with Cannes Lions’ delegate team regarding delegate registrations processing
- Assisting Jury teams with management of the onsite judging sessions
- Mange the production of awards shows, including audio-visual, stage management, table planning, preparation of onsite materials and overall show delivery

**Key skills and competences for this role**:

- At least 4 to 5 years event management with background knowledge of the creative communications industry, preferably with experience and knowledge within the advertising, media, film or marketing categories
- Excellent organizational skills
- Effective communicator (written and verbal) with excellent relational skills
- Patient, meticulous with excellent attention to details
- Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
- Ability to thrive in a result-oriented environment with enthusiasm, flexibility and a can-do attitude
- Independent worker yet a team player
- Good knowledge of industry/ awards
- High attention to detail with strong knowledge of Singapore venues and awards programs
- Has experience running virtual events and large-scale events, and commercializing event platforms with sponsors and partners
- Able to work flexible hours as frequent communication with the UK team is expected
