**Leadership Role**

As the Assistant Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning and continuous improvement of operations within the Secretariat Office, with a primary focus on aligning efforts with the overarching mission of the Association. Reporting to the Executive Committee, you will provide strategic leadership to the Secretariat Office, overseeing various functions such as special projects, finance, secretariat and admin services, corporate communications and human resources. Your contributions will be instrumental in driving organisational excellence and advancing the Association's objectives.

**Responsibilities**

**1. **Special Projects**

You will lead key initiatives to review and enhance Association processes, SOPs, and control systems to ensure alignment with industry best practices, including ISO and Service Quality Awards. Additionally, you will oversee Enterprise Risk Management and compliance efforts, mitigating risks and promoting a culture of accountability. Your leadership in special projects will involve research, data analysis, and strategic recommendations for organisational efficiency.

**2. **Finance**

You will provide key data and insights for decision-making to the Executive Committee, support the Association through the annual budgeting process, and oversee the audit process to ensure compliance with Charities Accounting Standards and financial sustainability.

**3. **Secretariat and Admin Services**

You will provide support to the Executive Committee to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, facilitate governance processes and support the Secretariat in preparing for Executive Committee Meetings.

**4. **Corporate Communications**

You will manage corporate communications and social media, fostering internal alignment within the Association. Your digital strategy will enhance branding and visibility across platforms, contributing to the Association’s overall reputation and impact.

**5. **Human Resources**

Functioning as a HR head, you will manage a small staff team, overseeing recruitment, staff development and performance management.

**Job Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Business Administration or equivalent, MBA preferred but not required.
- Managerial experience, including reporting to senior directors.
- Ability to manage budgets and report KPIs to senior management.
- Experience in project management, business development and/or relationship/stakeholder management.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays as needed.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, CANVA and basic editing skills. Prior experience in the social service sector is advantageous.
