[What is the role]
You will be responsible for HR sector workforce policies, frameworks and approaches.
[What will you be working on]
- Formulate/ Review, translate, and implement various existing HR policies that are staff-centric, in compliance to relevant regulations and industry best practices, and adapting these to suit the evolving organisational requirements and ensure they remain relevant for the sector/sub-sectors.
- Work closely with the various sub-sector policy units and HR officers to implement new or revised policy taking into consideration operational requirements and constraints.
- Address feedback and queries on implementation issues from the various stakeholders
- Foster strong relationships and build trust with stakeholders, to effectively communicate, influence, facilitate, negotiate, and resolve conflict in order to develop and engage employees (e.g., convey policy rationale).
- Provide professional advice to sub-sectors on the interpretation of HR policies and staff matters
- Handle queries and requests from both internal and external stakeholders in a responsive manner
- Any other administrative support needed (as assigned by Centre of Expertise (COE) or supervisors), e.g. arrange for meetings, coordinate engagement workshops, etc.
[What we are looking for]
- Background in Human Resources, Organisational Development or equivalent, with at least 2-4 years' experience in areas like
- Human Resource/Organisational Development ;
- Familiarity with HR policies and practices in both private sector and the Public Service will be an advantage;
- Experience in sector/industry development strategic policy and planning will be useful.
- Possess strong data analytical skills, conceptual abilities and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulous and resourceful, with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and engage people at all levels and work closely with the different sub-sector policy units and HR teams/officers
- Possess a strong desire to continuously learn and grow professionally, with a drive to seek constant improvement
- Should be IT-savvy and comfortable with using systems.
