Our Client is one of the leading global manufacturers of plastic packaging. They have factories, R&D centers, mould shop to support their global customers.

In order to strengthen its global presence, our Client has been setting up ongoing projects in several countries in Asia and Latin America for its global customers.

They are active in the business segments beverage, food and industrial.

There is a need now to fill a key **regional BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT **position in the Singapore regional office.

**Business Development Manager/Sr Manager/Director
- The job holder will actively develop business opportunities with local, regional or international accounts in the business segment he is responsible for. His main focus is on development of regional and international accounts. This includes both direct key accounts as well as through agents where applicable.
- This role is responsible for the development of the marketing tools which are sufficient to enhance the Group's success in a market segment and to ensure that these tools are made available to Group companies active in this market segment.
In market segments or with group key accounts where the company has little activity, this Business Development job holder may act as Market Coordinator or Key Account Coordinator in person.
- The performance of this role is principally measured by development of sales and direct margin in his business segment, which may be growing or stagnant and by the improvement of market share.
- Justifies R & D projects for his business segment and provides the follow-up for these projects.
- Sets the overall price policy and philosophy for the business segment, which has to be in line with cost and profit margins of the Group companies which needs to be aligned to market prices.
- Diploma or Degree from a recognised university.
- WIth at least 10 years of techno commercial experience with one of these background
- 1. Food packaging industry

2. Packaging Manager from the food industry

3. From the bottle industry
- Hands on, willing to roll up the sleeves type of person.
- Able or at least could gather the right internal resources to help solve customers' product quality issues.
- Able to work in a lean set up, organising customer visits, calls etc.
