The Demand Forecasting Manager supports the GCI Supply and Demand Planning Director to improve the accuracy of demand forecasts fed through the supply chain, including market intelligence from the local commercials and finance through the Core Commercial Cycle.

**Key Responsibilities**:
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities as follows:

- Operates the volume forecasting process within the Supply Chain Operating Model supporting the Core Commercial Cycle (CCC) for an assigned set of therapies/markets to improve customer service levels and reduce working capital.
- Responsible within assigned therapies for the calculation and reporting of demand forecasting KPIs to drive improvements in accuracy, bias, working capital, and customer service.
- Partners with the local marketing teams and leads the monthly Pre-Demand Review Meetings to discuss baseline forecasts and agree on any forecast adjustments across relevant therapies.
- Ensures, through input from the local teams, that there is a comprehensive total volume forecast including new product introductions, competitor activity, and tenders to ensure proper production planning is in place.
- Prepares forecast inputs into the key Core Commercial Cycle (CCC) meetings including demand review, feeding through to supply review and regional S&OP meetings. Participates in one or more local demand review meetings to represent both own and all therapies.
- Promotes a ‘one number’ mindset to drive business decision-making and forecast transparency/functional accountability.
- Contributes to strategic global and regional projects that will use demand forecasting as a lever to unlock further benefits in GSK's supply chain including inventory reduction, ERP, supply chain transformation, etc.
- Executes the agreed demand forecasting processes across assigned therapies in alignment with the agreed planning calendar.
- Chairs the therapy-aligned forecast review meetings with marketing (product managers) across multiple local teams to discuss baseline forecasts, market intelligence, KPI performance, and forecast changes.
- Reviews the baseline statistical forecast with the demand forecasting planners and makes necessary adjustments based upon the market intelligence supplied by the LOC sales and marketing teams.

**Basic Qualifications**

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

- University graduate or relevant Supply Chain Professional Qualification with practical experience in supply chain-related discipline/logistics/supply management/demand management/operational management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Fluency in one or more additional languages appropriate to the cluster/region covered by the supply planning team.
- Highly numerate with good knowledge of how supply chains operate end-to-end. Needs detailed understanding of the business environment and the ability to debate complex issues with peers, seniors, and colleagues.
- Strong planning ability and able to work on own initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Highly numerate and good knowledge of supply chain systems and processes. Knowledge of SAP APO (Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning) is an advantage.
- Proactively seeks opportunities to increase value by raising standards and championing best practices.
