**Tasks and responsibilities**:

- Act as coach and consultant for the local business units for all digital transformation initiatives.
- Work closely with all businesses to identify, develop and support the implementation of digital transformation initiatives.
- Grow a network with the relevant local stakeholders in production, supply chain, and also in administration and sales and to analyze their daily challenges and generate ideas leveraging on digital solutions.
- In close collaboration with the digital experts in data science, machine learning, automation, robotics and customer experience in the Heraeus Digital Hub in Germany, you setup and drive according initiatives to create tangible digital impact for your internal customers in all businesses.
- Develop an understanding of business units needs and translate and explain them to the digital experts in Hanau, Germany. You are also required to organize and provide local support for proper implementation and progress.
- For the setup of initiatives, you create business cases, calculate the benefit and business impact and organize the necessary approval within the organization.
- Mutually with local IT you grow the required network of local suppliers for technology, infrastructure and digital services.

**What is required for this role**:

- Master’s degree, but preferable PhD in related disciplines (e.g. Analytics, Computer Science, Business)
- 3+ years’ work experience in a digital transformation environment, preferably as a strategy consultant for data science or digital solution development
- Very strong analytical skills, deep understanding of the digital world with broad knowledge of according technologies and methods including business rules like legal and compliance
- Open and positive communication skills, experienced presenter, change management abilities and experience in stakeholder management
- Experience in the setup of digital initiatives, that create tangible business impact including development of business cases for impact calculation
- Data driven mindset and know how, including statistical hypothesis and methods, relationship between data and business
- Technical skills and experience with Splunk, Dataiku, GDS, Qlik, SQL
- Experience with common programming languages such as R and Python desirable
- Ability to effectively communicate in English and German (written and verbal) is necessary as the key collaborator between the digital experts of APAC and Germany
