Oyster is growing fast, and we are looking for a Director of Operational Excellence to build, lead and scale the function responsible to improve our internal Operations through better processes, insights and change management.
Reporting directly to Andrea Di Natale, Head of Global Operations, you will work in strong collaboration with Customer Experience, Legal and Product to enable the internal functions to operate faster and efficiently and to ensure we are making data-driven decisions. We expect a desire to work cross-functionally to help others, and an openness to ambiguity as we grow this function.
We are looking for a 'builder', responsible for setting up the vision for the function, hiring and developing their team, and executing on the plan.
Immediately on joining Oyster, you will focus on identifying and optimizing our internal processes, while building the analytical muscles to support performance tracking and decision making.
Furthermore, you will create a centre of excellence for change management, responsible for advising and delivering the hundreds of changes happening every month across Operations.
Finally, you will set up the internal content operations function, that will govern the publishing, editing and auditing of our internal and external knowledge
**What you'll be doing...**:
- **Leadership and Strategy**:
- Build and manage a team of Operational Excellence experts, managers and analysts on a broad range of operational projects and topics
- Set up strategy for the function based on Oyster's vision and market dynamics
- Develop, communicate and execute the vision for the Operational Excellence team
- **Process design**:lead the team that designs and optimizes Global Operations and cross-departmental related processes
- **Analytics** for the Global Operations teams, defining the most important metrics to track, setting up dashboards and reports and supporting decision making through modeling and analysis
- Create a centre of excellence for **Change management**. The team will be responsible for the effective design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of change efforts across all Operations. The team will act as a central point for incoming and outgoing changes, making sure they reach and inform the proper stakeholders
- **Content Operations** team, responsible for the governance and coordination of content creation, version control, auditing and localization of internal and external knowledge articles
**What we're looking for**:
- Proven experience in Operational Excellence function, at least at Director or Senior Manager level
- Extensive experience in building and growing Operations, Analytics and Program/Change management teams
- Expertise process optimization and content management
- Must have outstanding analytical, strategic thinking and problem solving skills
- International, multicultural mindset and approach
- High energy and commitment to both leadership and a hands-on mentality
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to collaborate with people.
- Must be comfortable in a rapidly changing work environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, determination, and tenacity, along with a sense of humor
- Driven by the social impact mission and desire to use skills to influence global change and employment opportunities
