Responsible for developing the Automotive Protection business in Singapore & Malaysia to achieve sales targets and plans.

Strategy & Planning:

- Delivery of sales targets and plans to develop the Automotive Protection business in Singapore & Malaysia.
- Research of local market, distribution channels and network contacts to execute pipeline new business opportunities.
- Monitor and ensure program progress is on target and any deviations from plan are identified and solutions implemented.
- Recommend and propose sales campaigns to deliver the business plan and ensure successful performance.
- Participate in supporting the development of strategy, provide updates on new business development and launched programs.

Policy, Process and Procedures:

- To assess new sales opportunities together with Singapore & Malaysia, Regional and Underwriting teams, to ensure alignment with QBE’s strategy, underwriting appetite & business plan.
- To support the launch of new programs, ensuring all terms of cover, processes and procedures are implemented accurately within agreed timescales and in accordance with requirements.
- Ensure that all output adheres to the relevant legal, compliance & regulatory frameworks and corporate policies to minimise risk to the business.

Customer Focus/Environmental awareness:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including customers, partners and colleagues to support constructive relationships and to ensure services provided continually support business needs.
- Regular review of program performance and service standards with clients.
- Regular contact with clients and market, in order to effectively identify products and services to meet local needs.
- Deliver timely decisions and problem-solving solutions for clients.
- Utilise the escalation process where necessary in order to ensure any issues/problems are resolved promptly.

Technical Performance:

- Undertake business planning and reforecasting, program analyses & management reporting.
- Manage, service and review the Singapore & Malaysia Automotive Protection portfolio to ensure progress towards business plan objectives.
- Develop the portfolio in line with plan, to ensure retention and acquisition of desired business.
- Undertake insurance product and / or sales training to business partners.
- Support other areas as necessary including assistance with audit, compliance and credit control.

People Management:

- Support management of local Automotive Protection team, to ensure people are trained well and aligned with business needs.
- Motivate and develop the team by demonstrating good behaviours and through the use of best practice, to enable development of human resources to support the achievement of business goals.

Required
- Substantial work experience (minimum 7 years) in insurance and/or automotive industry and/or affinity business and/or automotive financing or banking
- Established local relationships and network within local automotive industry and/or automotive financing companies

Desired
- Experience with automotive extended warranty and GAP business

Knowledge & Skills

Required
- Knowledge of insurance industry and/or local automotive industry and/or automotive financing industry
- Knowledge of strategic planning, sales pipeline and business development
- Understanding of relevant local market and influential factors
- Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Word and Excel

**Skills**:

- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in local language and English language
