Accountable for the development and planning of an effective integrated marketing communications strategy, and execution and management of all marketing communications activities and programmes that are designed to support business objectives in the division
Primary Responsibilities
- Strategy and planning With the guidance from the Head of Communications & Marketing to
- Work with internal stakeholder to develop an integrated marketing strategy to seek out and exploit opportunities to support business growth objectives
- Be a strong partner to provide constructive inputs to underwriting and distribution in product and intermediary strategies and through steering business and collaboration across the division
- Translate business strategies and divisional customer value proposition into meaningful marketing communications programmes and messages through integrated and cost-effective advertising and promotion channels
- Develop and manage brand awareness tracking programme
- Lead, plan and implement quality & effective regional marketing communications programmes and campaigns to promote corporate and product brands
- Develop / revamp and master templates of corporate marketing communications materials for local countries’ use
- Champion the divisional and local implementation and compliance of the group brand guideline and product brand management
- Actively engage in coaching and bring up marketing team competence in local countries
- Work with other members of the team to develop thought leadership programmes
- Identify appropriate channels to build and promote the corporate and product brands
- Manage marketing communications and business promotion budge and expenses
- Handle ad-hoc communications & marketing projects as and when required
Policy, Process and Procedures
- Formulate and recommend appropriate policies and procedures to ensure consistent management of marketing programmes across AP
- Communicate marketing communication processes with counterparts within the team across AP
- Ensure brand guideline compliance
- Provide advice to all areas of the business on marketing communications
- Ensure all deliverables are fully complied with Legal, Audit, Compliance and Risk policies
Environmental Awareness/Customer Focus
- Champion marketing communications strategy and ensure they are integrated with AP’s business growth strategies and the Group’s overarching marketing objectives
- Ensure and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Technical Performance
- Marketing promotion budget and expense control
- Web-based content management knowledge and skill
- Monitor the global trend of marketing communications initiatives
- Monitor the trend of the use of new media as marketing communications channels with stakeholders
People Management
- Be the lead to coach and bring up marketing team competence in local countries
Preferred Competencies/Skills
- Technical expertise with marketing communications programmes and advertising channel management
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Extensive network of external production houses
- Good business & marketing sense and analytical skill
- Performance driven and result oriented in job deliverables
- Creativity thinking to support the department to deliver marketing communications programmes
- Good MS skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Know-how of managing media agency, external production houses and contractors
Preferred Education Specifics
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business or Marketing
Preferred Experience
- Proven track record in planning and managing effective integrated marketing communications & business promotion programmes
- Highly strategic thinking with excellent analytical skill; dynamic personality with strong winning and high performance team mindset
- Seasoned experience of organizing marketing and promotion events
- Demonstrated ability to interact with senior executives and serve internal clients independently
- Tack record of coaching and bringing up marketing team competence in local countries
- Solid experience of website and social media management
- Experience of budget planning and control
- Experience working for multinational company or sizable company
Preferred Knowledge
- Good knowledge of marketing and communications practices
- Extensive business knowledge of insurance and reinsurance
- Knowledge in budget planning and control
