**The Role**: An exciting opportunity for a Registry Business Development Manager to join our Commercial Strategy team. The individual will be working along-side senior sales and product experts as part of a team advancing and growing our Environmental Solutions business, while delivering against wider strategic objectives.
Our integrated environmental platform provides end-to-end management of environmental portfolios and full support for existing and emerging environmental programs and markets. The environmental registry provides secure, robust, transparent and automated services for the listing and management of carbon and other environmental assets (including water and biodiversity).
The individual will be aligned with the Environmental Solutions team, working in close collaboration to expand our Environmental Registry offering, predominately focused on negotiating and onboarding new Country Registry programs to our software offering, managing the relationships with Standard Registry organizations and bringing new and existing Commodity Insights customer to the Meta Registry.
This role will focus on building and bringing together the carbon registry community and wider carbon ecosystem, from the registries to the custodians and liquidity providers such as the trading and broker community. This role will facilitate the development of a new market space, drive adoption, liquidity and commercial growth. The Registry Business Development manager will be required to travel regularly, develop bi-lateral relationships, grow networks of key entities/registries, while embedding CI’s solutions into key markets, regions and adjacencies. Strong interpersonal and networking skills, along with knowledge and experience of how commodity markets work are essential for this role.

This role will be pivotal in driving growth for the Environmental solutions portfolio, advancing strategic commercial and business objectives, while delivering on key multi-year milestones committed as a part of the ongoing investment case.

**Responsibilities**:
Perform against defined metrics of new business growth, as well as managing existing relationships through:
Onboard clients, review accounts and drive usage through close monitoring of utilization statistics, account planning and client engagements.
Negotiate and contract with new country registries and the meta clients, while delivering against commercial objectives and ROI
Lead business development through senior engagements with key regional entities by effectively positioning Environmental Solutions existing products (Registry, Registry as a Service and Meta Registry), as well as new product initiatives.
Learn and understand customers’ workflows, existing and evolving informational needs, monitor market trends and competitive landscape, while gathering and sharing thoughtful VOC with key internal stakeholders
The position will enable delivery of strategic objectives including ACV growth, retention, penetration into relevant market structures, while embedding CI’s solutions and product offering into key workflows.
Conduct research to identify current and future trends in (REGION)
Articulate value proposition of our Registry offering and unlock value for existing and potential customers.
**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in sales and carbon markets preferred
Proven track record of delivering solid commercial results, execution of strategic projects
Demonstrating an understanding of Registry role in the Carbon market
Previous experience in interacting with government agencies participating in formal government tender processes is an advantage
Excellent communication and influencing skills, ability to engage with most senior stakeholders internally and externally
Prior experience in selling software is an advantage
Display strong leadership skills alongside ability to solve complex business problems;
Strategic and analytical mind set with strong interpersonal skills, drive and gravitas
