**Minimum qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in sales management and general management, managing a team and attracting and growing talent.
- Experience in technology related sales.
**Preferred qualifications**:
- Experience leading teams that consist of multi levels of management (i.e., teams that have scaled and attract talent).
- Experience leading large-scale businesses and managing high levels of ambiguity and complexity as the business evolves.
- Experience building growth and scale businesses, with the ability to build a business or new markets from scratch and see it through growth.
- Ability to build a high performing sales team with a team culture.
- Ability to identify new business opportunities and effectively communicate complex information to internal executive management and external partners/stakeholders.
- Thought leadership and executive presence.
**About the job**:
As the Director, Google Cloud, you will advocate Google Cloud offerings to companies, schools, and government agencies. You will advocate for the innovative power of our products to make large accounts more productive, collaborative, and mobile. You will bring Google's core capability in cloud and data centers into big and small companies in this region, and manage complex customer and stakeholder relationships.
In this role, you will be responsible for the strategy and execution of the organization’s business plan as well as the quota for achieving new customer goals within an assigned market. Your responsibilities will include building and managing a highly talented sales team focused on driving business growth, adoption, and market penetration. You will possess a sales management background that enables you to lead a team of sales executives with engagements at the C-level, manage a business pipeline, and lead sales efforts that will include teaming with Google Cloud Sales Executives, Inside Sales, Customer Engineers, Solutions Architects, and Partners within Google Cloud accounts. You will also think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, and build and convey compelling value propositions while working cross-organization to build consensus. You will also be expected to represent Google as the “face” of Google Cloud in your country via press and analyst engagements as well as publicly speaking at key industry events.

**Responsibilities**:
- Build annual, quarterly, and monthly plans for business growth, go-to-market, adoption, and thought leadership. Build scalable processes and advocate Google Cloud products.
- Increase growth for large accounts within an assigned territory and develop effective strategies in a competitive environment.
- Understand complex customer requirements on both a business and technical level. Develop and provide custom presentations on Google Cloud products to customers to solve their business problems.
- Tailor solution, competitive, and product collateral to the needs of the market. Develop role, industry, segment, and geographically appropriate business playbooks, tools, guides with messaging and positioning for different Google Cloud audiences.
- Serve as a thought leader for programs, team, and partner development. Work with marketing on market awareness, demand generation, and thought leadership plans for a selected segment. Represent Google Cloud in the external market.
