Volunteer Management:

- Oversees daily the volunteer and community engagement program ensuring effective contributions and positive experiences for volunteers
- Establish positive relationships with long-time supporters and actively recruit new volunteers.
- Ensures establishment of best practices and effective policies and procedures within the department and throughout COH as they relate to volunteer, community outreach, and event functions.
- Supervises volunteers in performing duties providing them with continuous feedback and special guidance when requested or required.
- Engage, motivate, and create learning opportunities for volunteers.
- Conducts recognition programs to honor volunteers.
- Assists in resolving disputes and terminates volunteers not fulfilling the required duties.
- Maintains volunteer personnel records, records volunteer’s duties and hours donated, and makes notes of incidents and injuries.
- Monitors and manages volunteer satisfaction, acknowledgments, suggestions, feedback, and attrition.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the volunteer management program.
- Creates, leads, and implements a community engagement plan that advances COH’s strategic plan in the areas of community outreach and volunteer programs.
- Oversees all aspects of outreach and communications to volunteers.
- Coordinates group volunteer efforts, student assignments, and special projects - Works collaboratively with other departments to ensure positive communication with all volunteers and supporters.

Community Outreach:

- Responds to off-site event and promotional inquiries and invitations and actively seeks new community outreach opportunities. - Coordinates off-site events
- Identifies or designs, plans, establishes, and manages community outreach opportunities and tours. - Serves as a liaison with community business/organizational partners on outreach and event-related matters. - Works with other community groups desiring to conduct fundraising events, the proceeds of which are intended to benefit COH
