In this part-time role, you will support a leading social services organization in its mission to serve families of persons with disabilities.

You will work closely with the Community Inclusion and Engagement team to develop and implement outreach strategies that promote the organization's activities and services.

  • Conduct door-to-door outreach in designated areas of Singapore to inform families of persons with disabilities and residents about available services and opportunities.
  • Provide detailed information about the organization's activities and services for persons with disabilities and their caregivers, as well as opportunities for volunteer engagement.

Establish rapport with community members, listening to their needs and concerns, and connect them to appropriate services. Identify and engage potential volunteers by explaining the benefits and impact of volunteering with the organization.

Collect relevant data during interactions, including contact details, feedback, and interest levels, ensuring accurate recording and sharing with the team for follow-up.

Outreach Booth Support

Set up and manage outreach booths in community spaces to engage with individuals and promote the organization's services.

Actively engage with visitors, providing information, answering questions, and encouraging participation in the organization's programs.

Collaboration And Reporting

Work closely with the Community Inclusion and Engagement team to ensure outreach efforts are aligned with the organization's goals.

Regularly update the team on outreach progress, including successes, challenges, and valuable insights from interactions with the community.

Consolidate and maintain accurate outreach data, ensuring proper documentation for future follow-ups and program improvements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage effectively with diverse audiences on a one-to-one level. They will be professional and presentable, in-line with the role's requirements to represent the organization's respectable programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting outreach activities in designated areas of Singapore
  • Providing information about the organization's activities and services
  • Engaging potential volunteers and collecting data during interactions
  • Setting up and managing outreach booths
  • Collaborating with the Community Inclusion and Engagement team

The successful candidate will be able to travel around the North-east region of Singapore and have basic MS Excel skills.
