Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 10 years of experience in marketing, consulting, business development or related fields in Telco, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or consumer tech industries
- Experience managing a team of marketers and leading cross-functional project teams

Preferred qualifications:

- MBA or Master's degree
- Experience in creating and executing high-impact innovative marketing campaigns, with experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), tech, consumer electronics or consumer lifestyle
- Ability to translate complex ideas into simple and intuitive communications
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and influence external C-level stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a high degree of analytical excellence to understand local user insights, and a passion for building new products and businesses
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including both professional and casual style of communication

**About the job**:
Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

As the Marketing Lead for Android and Google Play in South East Asia (SEA), you’ll shape their future across the region, defining our marketing strategy, working with local teams and partners from Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

You’ll be the regional expert on product and positioning with a deep knowledge of how Android and Google Mobile Services work across form factors and in relation to our competitors, translating this into compelling messaging across the consumer journey.

In addition to shaping Google’s own properties, you’ll work with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and carrier partners to drive Android and set up joint marketing initiatives. You’ll also be working on Google Play product launches, driving core partnership marketing campaigns with key developers, running growth campaigns across the Google, Telco, Developer, and payments ecosystem, and be the steward for Brand and Reputation across SEA. You will be leading a team of Product Marketing Managers and will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders.

Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems-from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can-changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the design and execution of effective multi-country platform and partner marketing programs, motivate cross-functional, cross-country project teams, drive innovative ideas that can scale across countries, and spread best practices.
- Identify opportunities to develop marketing channels and/or expand existing channels for growth and consumer education.
- Seek actionable consumer and market insights to inform product and marketing strategies, advocating for the consumer across marketing, product, and partners.
- Build collaborative relationships with major ecosystem partners at a regional level, develop frameworks to support local country teams. Propose and secure budgets to drive execution, track results, and return on investment.
- Launch and drive rapid adoption of new products and features. Work with Global Marketing teams and Product Managers to optimize products for APAC consumers.
