Strategic Partner Development Manager, Google Play

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in the areas of mobile games/apps, digital content, mobile distribution channels, or other mobile businesses.
- 5 years of experience in business development, consulting, partnership, or sales and marketing.
- Experience in Southeast Asia gaming and mobile ecosystem.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience leading successful and strategic partnerships with mobile games/apps developers.
- Experience managing relationships with executives of gaming companies.
- Passion for mobile games and understanding of mobile game development technologies, business models, and value chains.
- Ability to lead, structure, discuss, and manage complex commercial and partnership deals.
- Ability to lead and execute successful initiatives while managing complex cross-functional teams and stakeholders (e.g. product management, legal, finance, marketing, etc).
**About the job**:
As a Strategic Partner Development Manager for Google Play Games, you will cultivate and grow partnerships with game developers in Southeast Asia with a focus on helping them build successful businesses using the Android platform and Google Play.
You will use your strong business acumen, leadership experience and extensive industry knowledge to lead Google Play’s effort to acquire, build, and grow a pipeline of games, identify emerging opportunities and challenges, help shape Google Play strategy and drive solid business outcomes for our partners and Google.
Google Play offers music, movies, books, apps and games for devices, powered by the cloud. It syncs across devices and on the web. As part of the Android and Mobile team, Googlers working on Google Play do everything from engineering our backend systems, to shaping product strategy, to forming great content partnerships. They make it possible for people to do things like buy an ebook or song on their Android phone, then have it instantly available on their laptop. The Google Play team enhances the Android ecosystem by giving developers and partners a premium store where they can reach millions of users.
**Responsibilities**:
- Own and lead partnership strategy and relationship management with key game developers in Southeast Asia.
- Provide strategic business consultations to key partners' game business based on analysis of metrics, performance, best practices, and strategic priorities.
- Drive adoption of strategic Google Play and Android platform and products with key game partners.
- Provide actionable insights to shape product and commercial programs, and drive impactful collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Engineering, Marketing, Payments, etc.) to grow the Google Play ecosystem.
- Identify emerging opportunities, market developments, and challenges in the Southeast Asia gaming ecosystem and develop strategic recommendations and plans.
