**Talent Acquisition Leader, APJC Region**

**THE JOIN & CONNECT ORGANIZATION**:
The "Join & Connect" organization (aka Talent Acquisition) is responsible for delivering all hiring, internal mobility, and onboarding services for Cisco across 89 countries. This organization can fill over 20,000 requisitions per year in job areas across engineering, sales & marketing, operations, customer experience and core corporate functions. The Join & Connect team has over 700 employees and it is organized globally across functions and geographies. It also serves as one of the key functions in our People Experience organization that is designed to be the core service delivery engine within human resources globally.

**What You'll Do**

The Asia Pacific, Japan, and Greater China (APJC) Region consists of 15 countries. Our APJC Joint & Connect team filled nearly 5,000 positions in FY22. The J&C Director will lead our dynamic team and partner directly with the global J&C leadership team to create, execute and support Cisco’s hiring strategies and priorities for professional-level positions within the region. Additional responsibilities will include:
Coaching J&C Managers and ensuring that they are modeling "talent advisor" leadership behaviors/competencies for their teams to drive optimal performance.

Identifying opportunities for improvement and driving continuous improvement efforts.

Working across the senior leadership team to develop and execute a global employment brand strategy that aligns to Cisco’s marketing, culture, and diversity imperatives.

Proactively build, nurture, and sustain partnerships across key stakeholder groups, including (but not limited to):

- Functional business leaders who refer, sponsor, and actively court prospective talent.
- Business and regional leaders whose matrixed reporting structures create complex interests in hiring activities.
- Global J&C organization, whose strategies in these areas are deeply integrated across Diversity and Inclusion, Operations, Internal Talent, Global Mobility and University Recruiting.

Maximize working connections with broader People & Communities (aka Human Resources) teams for assigned customer groups (Compensation, Talent Management, L&D, etc.).

Serve as a key contributor to the development and execution of global hiring strategies.

Develop and deliver quarterly Business Unit Reviews for the APJC leadership.

Drive forecasting efforts across the APJC organization.

Manage escalations from senior business leaders and senior P&C partners.

Ensure that Cisco’s hiring investments benefit from all possible efficiencies of scale.

This person will have successful business experience in a highly regarded major corporation known for the quality of its talent acquisition activities.

This person must have business relevance, gravitas, and skills to quickly establish credibility across the organization, coupled with the patience to carefully learn about and be accepted by the organization.

**Position Requirements**

10-plus years’ experience leading full life cycle recruiting. Preferred experience leading recruiting across customer experience, sales & marketing, operations, IT, and engineering types of functions. Preferred experience in a large multinational company where strategic leadership, including senior management influence and matrixed leadership have been demonstrated.

A track record of creating and executing an innovative, end-to-end hiring strategy and organization aligned with strategic business needs.

Demonstrated success in building and collaborating with an extensive network of direct and matrixed stakeholders. Ability to partner across various functions, developing strong working relationships with clients, employees, and HR colleagues.

Knowledge of recruiting systems, models, methodologies, and operations.

Ability to Lead by example in consultative behaviors, relationship building, and communications across all of P&C, and within the business at all levels including executives.

Ability to speak the language of data analytics, story-tell, and use that to influence strategy.

Proven track record and ability to influence, drive, and manage change (process and organizational) up and down the hierarchy.

Effective communications skills both verbal and written.
